best way to get from AOA to Contemporary

We have a character breakfast at 7:30am. What is the best/fastest way for us to get from Art of Animation to the Contemporary. What time do the buses and monorails open?

I think the easiest way (via WDW transportation) would be to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom, and then walk the path directly to the Contemporary.

The fastest way would be to drive or take a cab. Otherwise you would need to take a bus to the MK and walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary. Disney state's the buses run from one hour prior to park opening. The ride itself takes about 20 minutes. Add another 15-20 for the walk or monorail. I would call guest services and ask about what time the buses start on your specific day. Enjoy Chef Mickey' s.

I think a taxi is your best alternative in terms of time, depending how early your reservation is. We once had ADRs at the GF for dinner and had to get our extended family over there from OKW. There were 12 of us and one family had a car. I sweated that one out a bit, even though we gave ourselves more than enough time to get there. When you need the buses to run smoothly, something can always throw the timing off. Disney does a great job, but it is kind of like life in the "real world" and the morning/evening commutes. There are things you can't control. I pride myself on being on time. In retrospect, using taxis in our situation would have saved us some angst (me anyway!). And I am a WDW veteran who knows better!

I second a taxi with an ADR that early save yourself the angest and worry. It should only be a couple of dollars plus tip.
