Best way to get Eat to the Beat seating?

Ok, to be honest, I normally never really pay attention to the concerts. I've lingered in the courtyard by the fountain a few times for a couple minutes but never tried to sit down or really watch a show. I've seen lines stretched for hours way down to Italy and I'm worried because this year, there's a band I actually REALLY want to see.

But I have no practical advice in terms of how best to ensure I secure a seat!

I know there's the dining thing you can do but it's like $50+ per person and way more food than I need. I rather not spend over $100 just to get a seat.

I read there was FP+ last year but I looked in weeks I can book (30 days as AP) and didn't see it listed; not sold out, just literally not listed. I'm afraid even if they DO open it up to FP+ I might lose out being 30 day booking window, not 60.

So...thoughts? What is the best way to ensure a seat? Any tips or things to be aware of from people who've done it before?

Thanks in advance!

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Usually for most shows you can walk up and get seating without a problem. No need to line up way early etc. I did FP for it last year and didn't even need it there was plenty of seats still available as is most shows being they do so many a day for ETTB. Now Candlelight Pricessional during the holidays is something you need to get in line early or do a dining package etc but for ETTB in our experience for most even popular artists is not needed. ;)

It would be helpful if you'd mention the group you want to see and the days of the week they're performing. Then those of us with experience can give our estimates of seating demand.

I did FP+ once last year and my observation is this: It was entirely unnecessary, the demand was very low, and it was a complete Cluster due to CM lack of training, lack of information given to them, and lack of organization.

Sorry, I didn't even think about it. I want to see Toad the Wet Sprocket (Oct 22nd & 23rd). They've never been to ETTB before. In fact, though I've been a fan for *mumbles 25years mumbles i'm old* I've NEVER seen them. So I'm extremely excited and do NOT want to miss them. It will likely be my only chance to catch them in person these days!

They do 3 shows daily so you should be able to catch one of them the days you are there. But being that is a weekend and they are a new one to do ETTB they may fill up btt I really think you will be okay to catch one of the 6 shows out of those 2 days. Sunday the 23rd will be your best bet as Saturday's are packed at the festival. Sunday's are usually better at least somewhat better. Lol :)

I'd say Toad the Wet Sprocket are definitely worth a look see, but maybe you'd agree with me that they're not exactly main stream hit makers anymore.

I'd guess Saturday will be busy (just because it's Saturday), but I doubt you'd have trouble getting seats to the 2nd and 3rd shows with a minimal wait in the queue, if any wait at all.

For Sunday, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the theater doesn't completely fill.

Just my 2¢.
