Best way from Poly breakfast to Epcot

We've got a reservation at Kona Cafe for breakfast at 7:30am and are then heading directly for Epcot to make it as close to park opening as possible. What is the fastest way for our group to get there - walk to TTC and take the monorail, or take a cab over? How much time should we allow?

Cab or Uber should be quicker, if the money is not an issue. We like riding the monorail, but dislike the ramps and the long walk to the World Showcase.

Not sure what schedule the monorail is on now, but when I went to my 7:30am Kona ADR in November (on a Tuesday morning), the monorail wasn't running until 8:30 that day, so I took a bus. Got there quickly, a little after they opened so it wasn't too bad. A cab/Uber may definitely be faster though. As much as I love taking the monorail to Epcot, it is time consuming.

Cab will be the quickest at roughly 15-20 minutes tops. Walking to the TTC and taking the monorail comes in at 39 minutes.
Other than the fact the monorail won't be running at that hour, your time for the monorail is way too long. I've measure it many times. It's 5-7 minutes walk to the TTC, longest wait for monorail 6 minutes, ride to Epcot almost exactly 6 minutes. So 17-19 minutes and worst case 25 minutes if there are waits on the line.

The OP was having breakfast at 7:30 so unless they are in and out in less than 30 minutes, the Epcot monorail will be running.

Good for you on 17-19 minute travel time. I have had the same trip take nearly an hour on more than one occasion especially during peak times (you know, like right around park opening when the OP will be traveling). I have also done it in a 20 minute time frame as well.

The 39 minute time I quoted comes from the OLP transportation wizard which is about as accurate as it gets when it comes to average transportation times.

Sure, you can sometimes make it there faster, but if you are trying to make park opening I would much rather use an average or worst case time than "if everything goes perfect you can get there in X" time.
