Hi all.....I was wondering what the best camera is for shooting with very low light on a dark ride like HM or POTC without having to use the night setting that makes everything have that sickly green hue? I want to have the natural look. I would be willing to spend a few extra dollars if I could find one that would fit my needs. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, most of the footage for the HM video on Martin's site was shot with a Canon 5DMkII with a 24/1.4 lens or a 50/1.4. That's 5-6 grand of stuff and beyond the price range of most people.

HM is the darkest of dark rides and is very difficult to get high end video/photos from without making a sizeable investment.

At some point down the road, I would seriously consider investing in a very good and expensive camera because I know I would get a ton of use out of it. Thanks for the info.

As Dave says, a few extra dollars aren't going to do this for you. HM and Pirates is probably the worst case scenario for any camera system. It is extremely dark and in constant motion.

On YouTube? Have you got a link? Thanks
Well poo I didn't realize I was gonna be tested! :D LOL no seriously... the answer is yes (specifically the one I'm thinking of was SWSA) but I'll have to do some looking. I only remember it because I asked the person what they had used because I was impressed.
