Best summer memory at WDW

I would like to hear your best summer memory at WDW.

It would have to be my first trip to WDW in July 1980. My Mom and I went by ourselves. We had a great time. I have lots of nice memories of that trip.

I've only been three times during the "typical" summer season...1977, 1996 and 1997. I guess my best memory was the 1996 visit. I went with a girlfriend and her family. It was right after I'd graduated from college. The reason it is my best memory is not because I went with her...we fought all week...it convinced me that she and I were like oil and water. The reason it is my best memory is because I fell in love with WDW. I went in 1977 when I was 5 years old and had a great time, but the memories I had were of a place for kids. The trip in 1996 made me realize that it was a romantic place. Well, at least it was for the happy couples I saw there. :lol:

I finally realized it's romantic charm in December 2002 with my wife.

We always go in the summer so we have lots of memories. From ouraug. trip it would have to be stuff like looking out and seeing the volcano pool from our poly room, dh and I sitting on the beach watching the fireworks., ds told us he felt so independent when we let him go by himself with his other 2 ds to the parks and dq., etc. etc. We still talk about our bass fishing trip and how the mom caught the most fish. etc. Its a great time to go and memories are what you make of it no matter where you stay etc.

July 4th 1996. WE were in EPCOT. We watched Illuminations at our fave spot- The American Pavillion- and then had fireworks go off right above us. That was my first trip to WDW. Everytime we go we watch from the same spot.
