There are plenty of threads about food and snacks for Disney World, but I didn't see one for the parks out west. So, what are your favorite snacks in DL or DCA?

Clam chowder (not really a snack, but still)

Pretty much anything from Ghirardelli
Cookie dough ice cream from Gibson Girl on Main Street

I also love the Dole Whip Floats, and my mouth starts watering at the thought of them! Can't wait to have one next week. I also plan on trying the Mint Julep. I am embarrassed to say that I am Kentucky born and bred and have yet to go to the Kentucky Derby or have a mint julep. I guess my first julep will be in CA of all places!

I just had one for the first time, just recently at an annual passholder event. It was good! It'd be fun to compare the two. I bet the Kentucky ones taste better.

Yes-I am getting really excited. We are about 5 days away so the countdown is really on! All the final last-minute details are piling up but it's so worth it.

Nice! Speaking of last minute details, see if you can catch the Mad Hatter and Alice playing Musical Chairs on Main Street. It's so funny and entertaining. The showtimes change sometimes, but it usually happens at 2:30. Just a tip.

So, to name a location, in particular, for snacks...
I absolutely love the "Dulce Aventura" (just next to Cocina Cucamonga on the Pacific Wharf at DCA). They have all kinds of treats from traditional cookies and brownies to specialty cupcakes, decorated cookies, season treats, etc.
Quite possibly one of the best gems I've found there was the spicy peanut brittle! Mmmm!!!

Are Monte Cristo bites available all the time at DL or just at Christmas? If they are offered all the time where?

As of right now it looks to be a holiday thing, but I'm not 100% sure. I don't think they're being offered right now.

Up until yesterday, the bites were available at the Golden Horseshoe.
The cream cheese filled sweet pretzel (found at both parks) is a fluffy, carb-lovers dream!
