Just curious to see what are the best sit-down meals in the parks and resorts. It would help me plan my PS arrangements when I go.

Goofy's Kitchen is a great character buffet, much like Chef Mickey's at WDW. I enjoyed Hook's Pointe for breakfast (awesome omelets), as well. There is Napa Rose at the Grand Californian that is VERY expensive, but also very good. A lot of people like Blue Bayou at Disneyland, though I wasn't too impressed (very cramped seating and it just wasn't my kind of food). I did enjoy Ariel's Grotto for dinner at DCA, and also nice at DCA are the expensive Vineyard Room and slightly cheaper Wine Country Trattoria, both serving Italian food.

I liked Blue Bayou a lot. It is true that you are a bit cramped. I thought it was much better than Ariel's grotto. The soup wasn't even in a broth it was basically water with a few noodles and chicked. The burger was way overdone and I had asked for medium. I really like the cheesecake though. Oh and at Blue Bayou make reservations at noon because first seated gets closest to the water. May I suggest the Monte Cristo! :)

Everyone recommends the Monte Cristo and I got it and thought it was crap...french toast with ham and turkey...didn't taste good at all...ick! At Ariel's Grotto, on the other hand, I got a pot pie...so good :)

Well see I love Monte Cristo I always have it at the one restuarant by us. I think it just matters what you like. It was way too big though. The little gold chocolate coins were awesome though!

Ask and you can get a box of those little gold chocolates added onto your bill (I think they are around $3-$5)! :)

In DLP, I would suggest the Blue Bayou. Outside of the park, however, in DTD, I would suggest any number of places! Tortilla Joe's is great if you like authentic Mexican food ( And I mean, you won't find chedder cheese on the entire menu). Catal is great for dinner, and Naples is tasty as well. The Rainforest cafe's food is (in my experience) sub par (aka - order something that's hard to screw up like a burger, don't get creative) but the atmosphere is fun. I suggest it for a light breakfast, so you can get the taste of some atmosphere before heading in to the parks. Ralph Brennan's Jazz kitchen is great as well (go for dinner for some live music and adult fun).
Hooks point at the DLH is great.
I hear the japanese restruant in Paradise Peir is great too (never been there though).
In DCA, try to get a seat for lunch or dinner and to Trattoria. Thier soup and salad is a great combination for lunch (and a glass of wine, of course).
If you're looking for more formal dining - don't miss Napa Rose. It's won numerous awards, but definately isn't a place for kids (jackets are required for men, cocktail dresses for ladies). An expensive splurge, but worth it!

Have fun!

I just thought about DTD. I thought Rainforest Cafe was extremely dirty. I have been to 3 different RC and this was by far the dirtiest. The bathrooms were disgusting. The food seemed to take very long also.

ESPN zone was a lot of fun. There were 9 of us so we had a big table right by the climbing wall. The games upstairs are great fun too. Although you don't get any prizes. I had the chicken alfredo which was pretty good. Not comparable to Olive Garden but it was good. It's easy to take a break from DLP to get there too.

I'll second that recommendation for the ESPN Zone. It isn't the best of them all, but it is a great place to have a lot of fun. The food is good too.

As other sit-down restaurants....I recommend the Blue Bayou in NOS at Disneyland. I haven't been to Napa Rose, but I hear it is fantastic. Ariel's Grotto at DCA is also a good place to try.

I'll third that...I hadn't thought about DTD! ESPN Zone was great...good American food and so much else to do! I also enjoyed Ralph Brennan's fast food counter for dinner on the go, and La Brea Bakery is great for breakfast--but expect a line!
