La Numba is a wonderful show. I was so amazed when I saw it. But I don't that as a "Disney" show...so I would have to say the best show on property is Festival of the Lion King. I love that show!

Ihave to agree with you, la nouba is one of the finest shows at WDW both musicaly and visualy. All the cirque shows are amazing my favorites are Oand allegria. Fantasmic is the best Disney produced show, and when it gets updated it will be that much better.

I think many people are turned off by the cost of La Nouba - I think it was about $60 each when we went to see it a couple of years ago, and that was with an AP discount.

When you see the show, however, you realize why the price is so steep - it's a very labor-intensive show. If you consider all of the performers, band & crew that need to be paid, then you can understand the price.

Since the actual wording of the question was "...the best show in Disney", then I'd have to agree, it's La Nouba. It's the best show currently going on WDW property. If you've never seen it, check the TV - I think it's A&E that often shows Cirque performances - alhough they don't show La Nouba, you can get an idea of what you can expect from the show in Orlando.

If the question is the best Disney show on property, though, I'd vote for Fantasmic! It's the best Disney-created show going.

I would really like to see La nouba the next time that I am there. But of the shows that I have seen. I would have to say Hoopty Doo. Not too mention the excellent food. The fried chicken and baked beans in particular. I am making my self want to drive their right now.:slurp:

I have to say that I was disappointed with La Nouba. I don't think it compares with the two Cirque shows that I have seen in Las Vegas( "O" & Mystere). I would have to agree that Fantasmic is the best. It is hard to beat any MK fireworks show if you are there with young children. The Castle at night surrounded by fireworks is magical.

Cirque isn't a Disney show, and shouldn't even be compared to anything else on Disney property. Cirque du'Solei paid to get that theater built... Disney didn't have a lot of say on what was in La Nouba. Same with House of Blues and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. They are just on property and because of that get some perks, but they ain't Disney.

Best Disney show on property WAS Hunchback.

Best night-time show... Illuminations.

Legacy is right! It's not right to compare Cirque du Solei to the Disney shows since they are run by different companies. It's fine if people want to say that it's the best show on Disney property, but you can't call it the best Disney show. The same thing is true for those people who call Rainforest Cafe the best Disney restaurant in Animal Kingdom and/or Downtown Disney.

My vote for the best Disney show with human actors goes to Fantasmic. My vote for the best Disney show (either on screen or with audio animatronics) goes to the American Adventure.

I have to agree that the American Adventure is amazing and probably the best show/attraction there.

Fesitval of the Lion King is the best true "live action show"

Fantasmic is just an awesome spectacle of everything.

The one thing I noticed at Disneyland was the number of live action shows/attractions. I think that Disney World needs to get back to that. Yes, the Studios and AK have some, but what about EPCOT and MK? Also, since the Studios is a "studio" or was one, it should have more live action attractions. Hopefully the stunt show should help. I miss the original Monster Sound Show and Superstar Television.

I agree

To me, the best show was The Hunchback - A Musical Adventure. I thought that was outstanding. The singing was superb, as was the staging. I thought it was much better than the Beauty and the Beast show. I think the reason we're seeing less of those is because Disney's animated films have not been doing as well lately as their previous ones (other than Nemo). I think it pretty much ended with Tarzan Rocks. Let's face it, the music from the Little Mermaid on through the late '90's made more of an impact than the newer stuff. Scores like The Hunchback, Beauty and the Beast, Mermaid, and the Lion King are tough acts to follow.

I miss Superstar Television too! They picked me to be Ethel in the Lucy sketch.

They're updating Fantasmic? What are they doing to it? Fantasmic is my favorite show on property although Wishes is a close second. I always get teary eyed when I see it, especially during the finale with the fireworks and sorcerer mickey and everything. Now I get teary eyed just listening to the music because it makes me wish I was there. I do enjoy La Nouba, but I never really considered it a Disney show because it's not in the parks or owned by Disney. Plus it costs so darn much. I'd love to see it again but due to financial reasons I'm not sure when it will happen.
