Best seafood on property?

I'm interested in people's opinions about the best seafood restaurants/dishes at WDW. We had a ADR at Coral Reef for our upcoming trip but deep-sixed it in favor of Flying Fish, which seems to win consistent praise and has a MUCH more dynamic and interesting menu.

Similarly, we were much more drawn to the chronically overlooked Tokyo Dining than crowd favorite Teppan Edo. Is this the best sushi on property? I know people rave about California Grill's (where we also have a booking) sushi, but that seems primarily like the mayonnaise-y California variety, as opposed to the focus on fish and the quality/flavor of the seafood over condiments.

What are some of your favorite seafood restaurants and dishes on property?

Our favorite seafood restaurants include the as mentioned,
  • Flying Fish
  • Todd English's Blue Zoo at the Dolphin
  • Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian which has 4-5 seafood entrees on the menu including a very good Maine lobster
  • Fulton's Crab House at DTD
I'm not a big sushi eater so others will have to reply on that.

Flying Fish is my favorite seafood restaurant on property. As far as Sushi goes, IMO, Kimono's in the Swan has the best sushi. (California Grill is good too however.)

I had sushi at the California Grill and thought that it was very good. While sauce was prevalent it was far from overdone as I have experienced at various sushi establishments. You could definitely enjoy the fish and it was nice to get something a little unique that I don't find at home everyday.

While I haven't had it myself, I have heard very good things about the Kona Cafe Sushi Bar at the Polynesian. It is on the upper level of the lobby near the entrance to the monorail, and they also make a number of unique items there.

Personally, BlueZoo by Todd English is the best. After that, in no particular order, Flying Fish, Fulton's, Narcoossee's. Many years ago, I would say Jiko and the Monk Fish Entree was my favorite dish anywhere, but they no longer have it.

As for sushi, Kimonos would be the best, followed by California Grill, Japan and the bar at Poly. At Cali Grill, you can ask the sushi chef to make you something more adventurous than the menu and they will and it will be awesome.
