Best rooms at Boardwalk Villas?

We are staying in a 1 bedroom villa(DVC) at the Boardwalk resort in Oct, we have never stayed there before. We officially are in a pool/garden view category---any suggestions on room location requests that would give us a nice view from the patio and being convenient to pool, boardwalk, etc.....not interested in walking a mile down a long hall. Thnx!!

Ground floor, pool level. Unbeatable. If you don't like walking down long halls, I suggest you don't vacation at WDW. It's quite large.

On our first anniversary, we stayed at BWV and ended up with our favorite room we've ever had at Disney. It was a surprise upgrade, so I'm not sure what kind of view this is considered. It was not a pool view, and we couldn't actually see the Boardwalk. We overlooked the water, and the Swan/Dolphin. Our balcony was so long. It was on the end, if I remember correctly, next to a door. That door opened up right to the pathway that leads to the Boardwalk or to DHS. It also leads you to the pool, to your left around the back. We used that door to go anywhere, we rarely ever even saw the lobby. Very convenient location!

The room was 2027, which I only know because I filled out a passporter book during that stay. I think anything around the location would be nice!
