Best room rates for September?

Ok...I'm going to ask a stupid question, so please forgive me!

We've been DVC members for years and always stay on points, so I've lost touch with the best room discounts, etc. We are planning for 1-2 nights at AoA after our DCL cruise in September. What's the best way to get the best rate? Should we just book now or will discounts come out later this summer? We have AP's so I wasn't sure if that would help at all.

Feels stupid to be posting a question like this, especially when we travel down there multiple times each year, but amazing how fast you forget this stuff when you are out of touch!

Tips & suggestions would be most appreciated!

There is currently a deal out, and I have a room booked on that deal, but I am waiting for and AP discount to come out and see if it will be better...usually its only slightly better than the current deal out. But one can hope!
