Hi all, going to WDW Christmas week. Was wondering if anyone has thoughts on restaurants for Christmas Eve and Christmas? We will be four adults of varying tastes, and 1 young teen. Would prefer moderate price range.
Thanks!

It maybe difficult to get reservations this late, but I would look at Whispering Canyon in wilderness Lodge for a real Christmasy atmosphere.

Edit: Just checked the Disney Dining site and there seems to be plenty of restaurants with availability. What type of food are you looking for?

As far as food, we are pretty open. I am the pickiest and can usually find something. Whispering Canyon sounds nice, with the atmoshpere.

We do Chef Mickey on Christmas Eve- that way we can visit the Christmas decorations at the monorail hotels - they have special treats at each one. Also - we see Santa at GF and CR. GF had Mickey & Minnie and Cinderella too! After dinner we hop back on the Monorail to go see the parade and Wishes and then back to POFQ.

On Christmas is all about early, early, early - be in MK first thinnkg in the morning and hit as many rides as possible before the local crowds get in - then we head back to POFQ for pool time and then dinner where ever!

The thing about Christmas at Disney is that it is not just on December 25th. It was the first time I really felt the Christmas Spirit with my kids - we had no stress - no worries and celebrated Christmas for 10 days. It was all about just having fun and doing whatever we wanted! Best time ever!!:):):)

We will be arriving in Disney on Christmas Day :xmas: and heading straight to Magic Kingdom..We have reservations for Tony's that night, I think around 6:30pm..Our logic was we did not want to leave the park once we are in it..Soooo excited for this trip!!

I second this! The Wilderness Lodge is the most "Christmassy" resort in my opinion, and since the Whispering Canyon has an open wall that overlooks the lobby, you can enjoy the amazing Christmas decorations while you are eating.:xmas:

I like the GF at Christmas. Decorations are fantastic with the big Gingerbread house but for dinner, I would go to Citricos. I would go to the lounge, get a pre-dinner drink and listen to the band play (they do Sleigh Ride particularly well!) and then go have a nice dinner. After, catch the boat launch back to MK so you can see the fireworks and the electrical water pagent. :xmas:

i agree that the wl is beautiful at christmas but so is akl and gf. we went with a party of 4 adults and 1 child for christmas week in 09. we ate at 1900 park fare christmas eve, it was just a buffet but we spent time taking some pics at the resort and the characters were fun. we did christmas morning breakfast at askerus in norway, and an early christmas dinner at coral reef that year. if it had been all adults i'd have done a signature dinner those two nights instead (at flying fish, citricos, jiko, artist point, or cali grill) but we planned the trip around my granddaughter who was turning 5 at the time so we geared it toward her. it was fun. we watched the fireworks christmas night at epcot snacking (and drinking) having a great time. very relaxed. we don't stress over having a traditional meal on christmas (even at home) we just like to make sure everyone is having a great time.
