Best Resort

Hi,

I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times before but here goes.

We're considering a trip to WDW next August/September, and we want to stay at either Carribean Beach or Coronado Springs. We've stayed at All Stars the last few trips and are considering a change. Which resort would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

I like Coronado because it's really pretty at night and fairly quiet. I highly dislike Carribbean Beach - it was was WDW's original "value" resort and should of maintained that designation.

Others will disagree - and there are tons of travel agents who have never been but think it's "so islandy" - but on an actual been-there done-that basis I'd rather never go there again.

Coronado springs is great. We stayed there 2 years ago. The pepper market is one of the best food courts. We stayed at Caribbean beach one time and to tell you the truth i cant remember anything about it other than we hated it.

Good luck....

Ps we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside this year .

I would rate the pop century above the carribian beach. It may not have the resturants, but you will at least be in a newer hotel. besides -- getting around the lake at CB can take you like 15 minutes each way for each meal. Save the extra $50-70 a night and go to PC. CB does give you good views of fireworks on the beach though.

I've visited CBR and I've stayed at CS. CS "felt" like a deluxe hotel. Food choices, coupled with service, lobby, etc. were just a step above. CBR is pretty, but lacks that feel, IMO.

Thanks for the advice. The only off putting thing about CS is the automatic 10% gratuity in the food court, are they really that difference to justify this extra charge?
