I'm trying to figure out the best places to eat for dinner at each theme park. We'll be at each of the four theme parks so I need to figure out what the good places to eat are. We'll be there at the beginning of February!! Thanks for any input

50's Prime Time Cafe @ MGM.......where else do you get to look at a menu on a ViewMaster and have "mom" yell at your mom for not eating all her vegetables!?!

MK - Tony's (not pricy, good atmosphere, great food), if you want the best atmosphere then I'd say Cinderella's Castle.

AK - uh oh, I forgot the name (it was mentioned earlier in the thread, but I'm too lazy to go back and look  it's in the Africa area)

Epcot - Japan Teppanaki.

MGM - Brown Derby

Overall best (and by far the most expensive) - Victoria and Albert's at Grand Floridian.

Just to add to the difference of opinion:

If you want something fantastic, take the monorail from the MK and have dinner at California Grill at the top of the Contemporary.

Tony's Town Square is for Italian food lovers. I'm not.

I love Chefs de France. Haven't tried Le Cellier or Rose and Crown but am intrigued by so many good reports I've read in this forum.

At Boardwalk, Spoodles is excellent. Haven't been to Flying Fish yet, but it's supposed to be great.

If you can get out of the theme parks...go to 'Ohana at the Polynesian (i bet no one saw that coming).

If you have to stay in the theme parks...

Magic Kingdom: Crystal Palace
Epcot: Coral Reef
Studios: Hollywood and Vine or 50's Primetime (tie)
Animal Kingdom: Odds are you won't be having dinner here, but if you must there is only the Rainforest Cafe

I'd definitely check out Birnbaum's Walt Disney World. I've been to WDW countless times but have to get a "Birnbaum Book" for each year that I go.

The Good Meals, Great Times section is very extensive in giving a good overview of what's available.

I'll second (or third...) what many have already suggested:

MK- Cinderella's Castle (King Arthur's Court or something??)

EPCOT- San Angel Inn, China, Tepanyake (Sp?- Japanese Steakhouse), Rose and Crown Pub, Les Chefs de France, Coral Reef

Disney Studios- Sci-Fi Drive In Diner, 50's Prime Time Cafe

Animal Kingdom- Rainforest Cafe

Resorts- ESPN Club: Boardwalk, Victoria and Albert's: Grand Floridian ($Bling bling!), Ohana: Polynesian, Whispering Canyon and (?): Both sit-down restaurants at Wilderness Lodge

Like everyone's said though, it all depends on what kind of food, service and atmosphere you're looking for!

Enjoy!

I think you were thinking of Artists Point?

We ate at the Nine Dragons for the first time for lunch on our last visit. Wonderful food. The place was empty. The service was top notch. They were very attentive, and the food was very very good. I will make it a point to do this one again. :slurp:

Nine Dragons has to be the most UNDERRATED resturant in all of WDW. It has great food and gret service.

THe $14 all you can eat lunch buffet (where they bring you selections to your table) is a great value.

You are so right, I wish more people would have told me how good they are. I've skipped over them for years, but now we'll make it a point to eat there on every vacation.

We did not do the buffet, we just ordered off the menu. But still, it was very cheap, and we had more than enough to eat.

I've never eaten at 9 Dragons; I've always read that is terribly over-priced for what it is.

Is the food really "all that"?

I like the Lotus Blossom Cafe as well as 9 Dragons. Let's face it, all the pork fried rice is cooked in the same pot and the "FooJoy Min-Nan" Oolong Tea is boiled in the same kettle. I like them both.

If you're asking if it's the best I've ever eaten, no it's not. But I would say it's in the top 10% of Chinese resturants I've eaten at in my life. The price is not bad at all. About the same as normal, nice, resturants.

I had the General and the wife had, I think, Orange Chiken. Both were good. And the service is top notch. The place was empty, so they were very attentive to us. As soon as you began looking for help they were there.

I'd eat there again, but I probebly wouldn't make them a dinner choice, I usally reserve our PS for dinners in the resturants that we really, really love. 9 Dragons, for us is a good place for a lunch.
