Best Place to Shoot Illuminations

Depends what type of shot you want. If you want just the show, I like either the second story balcony of the Japan restaurant or right at the 'front' of WS. Both spots give you a nice, straight on view of the fireworks and show.

If you want a little more foreground, or ambiance, going a little further back in some of the other countries can be really fun. Canada and England are really nice for that. Plus, there usually aren't too many people because they are all by the water. The last spot I shot was China. It was nice to have the big entrance arch (not a clue what it's really called) in the shot, but getting the exposure was tricky.

I've seen shots from back by the Imagination pavilion with the fountain before too. The great thing about Illuminations is that there really isn't a bad place to watch!

This is from China

We have two preferences for getting good shots (though now seeing the above I have some new ones to try no doubt!). One is from the bridge over by Canada and the other is from the spot directly across from the American Adventure (on the other side of the lake). Wish I had shots to show you but frankly after seeing the above I'd be embarrassed to even if I found them. LOL!
