Best Pixie Dust ever! POR

On arrival at POR we had already had bad morning (low leaking tire, almost flat, barely made it to station for air) after having our DD get locked in bathroom in DTD hotel for 30 min night before. We were almost running late for CRT breakfast for DD & DW. Our DD had also just gotten a new doll that she was really attached to. We had taken it all over Legoland the day before. The only way we could get her to leave it was to say that they would would watch it. So we quickly went to baggage and asked if they would watch it for us. Janelle quickly took the doll and said they would take good care of it. So we finally got to parks and started the day. About 2 or 3 when room was ready we went back to unpack. My wife went by baggage to get doll. When she arrived the doll was sitting in a brand new princess stroller, with a Piglet toy, 1st visit pin, and autograph book. In the autograph book there were autographs from lots of characters and pictures where the staff had taken the doll all over the resort. There were pictures of the doll in the food court, in a golf cart with CM's, at the pool, at the bridge over the river, in the gift shop, and with lots of the staff.
All my DD could talk about the rest of the trip was all the things her doll had gotten to do that day. Everytime we left the room after that she made a pretend call to arrange for babysitting for the doll. The staff was sooooooooo nice to do this. They saved the day for us but also went way beyond the call of duty. It was one of the highlights of the trip and really one of the highlights of all of our trips. This just reaffirms to us again why we love WDW. Thanks again to Janelle and all of the staff at POR for a wonderful memory for me and my family!

That is awesome. THESE are the things that keep us going back to Disney! Bravo to those CMs. Did you write a letter commending their efforts and the huge impact it had on your vacation? I definitely would!

I love this story. I remember a similar story being posted on this forum a while back involving a lost article being mailed back to the owner after a CM "photo tour". It really serves to remind me that a great deal of what makes WDW so special is the people, not just the attractions. Thank you mikewdw for sharing this story with us.

I love stories like this - but they me worry that people are now going to try to re-manufacture the experience (i.e. "I'm going to go out and buy a doll") and then be disappointed if it doesn't happen. The Internet makes for great sharing but it also has the potential to ruin something random and unexpected.

That does not in any way mean that I am not thrilled that you shared the story! How awesome! And yes, PLEASE write to Disney commending the CMs who gave this extra Magic to you on your visit!
