best park at WDW

I'm planning on going back to WDW in a few years and was wondering; which is the best park now at WDW. Is it still Magic Kingdom? Because I've already been to Disneyland in California many times, will Magic Kingdom have anything new? Or will it be the same old. I've heard countless people say the MK is Disney's flagship park and that it's better than Disneyland because there are too many Disneylands in the world. Also, Magic Kingdom is in the Guinness book of records for being the most popular park.

My personal feelings are as such:

1) Epcot. Its definately seen the most innovative things added to it out of all the parks over the past 10 years or so. i.e. Mission: Space, Test Track, Turtle Talk with Crush, the brand new living seas update, ice station cool (club cool now), Soarin'/The Land Rehab, etc...
Plus: The World Showcase (amazing food and an amazing experience), and then finally my fav...Spaceship Earth. so that gets my vote.

but in less detail...
2)MGM/Disney Studios
3) Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are basically tied. but i am POSITIVE that shortly (within the next 10 years) Animal Kingdom will jump far ahead. only because, along with Expedition Everest it is bound to see many more additions like Epcot has seen recently.
So thats my take on it. oh, and Magic Kingdom has it definate +'s to Disneyland...but Disneyland also has its special things as well. Its different enough to check out and appreciate. Im hoping Magic Kingdom will soon see some improvements liek Disneyland has gotten.

CLEARLY EPCOT is the best park. however it is showing its age. they need to put more money into its infastructure.

and take down that wand

Epcot

Epcot is my favorite Disney park, as I've said before. Is there a Guinness category for "Most Misunderstood Park?" Sometimes it seems to be, mostly by people who have never been there.

To me the MK will always be the best park because it was the first. I have not been to DL, but I understand from others that the differences are great enough that even a seasoned veteran will appreciate it. I love EPCOT and am quickly gaining respect for DAK. I never have been a big MGM fan, though I do enjoy some of the shows.

The MK is was and forever will be our favorite park. Definitely see it if you are going to Florida. There are some of the same attractions at DL and MK, eg. Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Space, Jungle Cruise, Splash, Small World but they are differences in them. Pirates IMHO is much better at DL while Splash at WDW MK beats DL hands down. DL is much more compact whereas the MK is spread out with more open space. We went to both last year and enjoyed them equally.

I love both Epcot and Magic Kingdom for different reasons. Some days I like Epcot better, some days I like Magic Kingdom better. But no matter what, the first park I always visit is Magic Kingdom (It just wouldn't feel right to start off in any other park).
Next would be Animal Kingdom which I seem to like more and more every year. Last, but not least, is MGM. Don't get me wrong, I do like MGM but not as much as the other three parks.

I think that's a loaded question.

For me, my favorite park is Epcot. I'm not a kid anymore and I appreciate the combination of theming, attractions, education and innovation at this park.

However, I feel like MK is the best park, mostly for keeping with Walt's initial intention - I think it's more suited for the family, which is Disney's modus operandi, if you will.

I agree. There are a lot of things that are different from Disneyland...Magic Kingdom is not a carbon copy. WDW has Mickey's Philharmagic, Mickey's Toontown Fair, Aladdin's Magic Carpets and The Country Bears. Magic Kingdom also has some of the same rides that are at Disneyland but are slightly different such as Pooh, Pirates, Haunted Mansion and It's a Small World.

I believe that MK is still the best park that Disney World has to offer. There is just so much to see and do! Epcot is a very close second but in reality for people who don't make it to DW a lot, you'll find Epcot is more educational, in a fun way though, than MK

I think MGM is fun, as is AK, but there just not enough there, YET, to make a full day. At least not for my wife and I.

I totally agree with Glasgow - Epcot is my favorite park (and has been since it opened), with MK being the best park. Though depending on the day or how I'm feeling, MK often vies for my favorite park.
Next on my list would be Animal Kingdom - it's just a great place to relax and get away from everything, and not even ride any rides.
Lastly would have to be Disney-MGM Studios. It has a few great attractions (ToT, RnRC, Star Tours, LMAX, Muppets 3D, One Man's Dream), but I just don't feel the same "magic" there as I do at the other parks.

As has been clearly demonstrated with the previous posts - peoples favourite park seems to be a straight choice between EPCOT and MK.
Personally, my favourite is EPCOT as its attractions are so diverse - culminating with the best music and firework show (ILLUMINATIONS) every night - you just can't get better

I personally think Magic Kingdom is the best park, mainly because I love it so much! To me, you can't go to WDW without visiting MK. It's just part of the magic of going to WDW. I also really like Disney Studios and Epcot. I like all the parks though. IMO, MK is the best.

Hope you enjoy your trip when you go!

Magic Kingdom has always been the best for me with MGM at a VERY close second. Epcot comes at third and i've yet to go to animal Kingdom so I don't really know what THAT'S LIKE.

Disney-MGM Studios for me...

I LOVE the Disney-MGM Studios, mainly because my wife and I are thrill ride FANATICS, and MGM offers the MOST thrill rides of all the parks. From RnR Coaster to ToT, also my FAVORITE show in all of WDW is Fantasmic (um....also at MGM...)....:sohappy: :sohappy:

But if you've been to Disneyland before, won't you find Magic Kingdom boring? I know that it has a better Splash Mountain and BTMRR, but there's not as much E tickets at MK. Also, don't you guys like Animal Kingdom as well? It has quite a few E-tickets and excellent theming.

granted, i've never been to Disneyland so maybe my opinion isn't best. My advice would be to try the other parks first and if there's time, sample a bit of MK. It's the heart of Disneyworld in my opinion so I think you ought to go there at least oncfe if nothing else, then to see that castle. :D
