Hey all, i'm looking to get some new websites for booking m hotel stay. We're staying at Courtyard Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village this September. I've gone through probably 20 different hotel websites getting quotes on how much a 8 night stay would be. So far all-hotels.com is the cheapest but there it wouldn't guarantee me a 1 king size bed. Runner up is my aaa discount so if any of you have a great website you use please pass it along. I would greatly appreciate it.

You might want to contact the hotel and ask them about their best rates. I just went to every on-online site I could think of to get reservations for a certain motel that I like. I called the hotel, and since I was a returning customer, they gave me a rate that was less than half of what the web sites were quoting. Don't use the 800 number for the chain, dial the hotel directly.

Also, if you're a government employee, let them know. I once got a fantastic rate at a Holiday Inn since I was a state employee. Didn't matter that I was about 800 miles from home and obviously on the trip for pleasure.

calling the hotel directly after you've done some online rate comparisons will often yield the best rate

Not sure if it works for ther Orlando area or not, due to demand, but I have used PRICELINE.COM with great success to travel all around the country.

I've bid some rediculously LOW prices and got them by surprise in 4-5 star hotels in the off season. It works to their advantage to keep the rooms full in most cities, but that's not as big a problem in much of the WDW area.

Good Luck!

Hi, I don't think there is any question that Priceline is the best deal if you know how to bid...There are some incredible deals...

Downside is that you don't get a specific hotel, but a "class" of hotel.

We actually enjoy staying in different places and being "surprised" by our choice...

For you, based on your choice of Courtyard, I would bid for a "Resort" or highest level and bid around $75/night and see what happens.

There are some spectacular hotels for this price...

If Priceline is not your choice, all the above recommendations are excellent...

If you use Priceline or Hotwire, I would suggest reviewing these sites before bidding/selecting: betterbidding.com & biddingfortravel.com ... these folks are the gurus and their lists can usually help you narrow down the hotel that you get to 2-4 hotels.

But for KNOWING what hotel before I buy, I use sidestep.com ; If traveling last minute, I like lastminutetravel.com , site59.com, and cheaptickets.com . Travelzoo.com is also a great place to start. skyauction.com appears cool if you like playing the 'auction' game.
