Best Off-Site Hotel (if any)???

I plan on traveling down to DW the first week (very short trip) of December. I almost always stay on property...unfortunately, this trip came up so suddenly, that when I called the resort yesterday, they told me there is not one single room available throughout the three days!

That said, I'm wondering if anyone has had a good experience at an off-site hotel? The main thing I'm looking for is good and reliable transportation to/from the parks (also, a nice breakfast couldn't hurt either....but the transportation comes first...lol ). Does anyone know if any? I'd love to book this thing as soon as I can.

Many thanks!!!!!

Depending on your budget (and what you consider reliable park transportation!), I have a couple of suggestions. We've stayed at what is now the Regal Sun Resort (when we stayed there, it was the Grosvenor Resort), and always liked it. It's near Downtown Disney. The bus transportation is frequent, and generally on schedule. There is a cafeteria-style coffee shop in the lobby, with a variety of breakfast items, and there is also a full-service restaurant in the hotel. Neither is cheap, but at least reasonably-priced.

If you're on more of a budget, there's the Comfort Inn in Lake Buena Vista. Buffet-style continental breakfast is free, although a hot breakfast buffet is more. Buses to the park run far less frequently, and on a certain schedule. We always rented a car when we stayed there, so I don't know as much about how prompt the transportation is.

I'm sure there are MANY other nice places to stay, but those are the only two off-property hotels I have personal experience with.
