I will be at Disney Thanksgiving week, and am debating which jacket to get:

The NorthFace Denali, or The NorthFace khumbu jacket.

I have a Columbia waterproof rain/wind jacket, so I can use that as an outer layer, but I could use something warmer when walking through Epcot at Night when it is in the high 40's.

Also is grey better or all black? Thanks!!!

I'm a woman, but a North Face (and Patagonia) junkie. I have 2 tri climates that I absolutely love. One black and one gray/pink. I like the black because I can attach any color of my North Face fleece jackets to it. But I wear the pink/gray one the most. These jackets are perfect as a combo or each piece on their own. Plus they're a great value. I think the price was around $260, but if you use Dick's coupons and combine them with a sale it's perfect. I think mine came down to $180. I'm assuming the men's would be similar in price.

I vote black/gray.lol.

It could be mistaken as another word:p. Thanks for your advice!
Ha ha. Didn't think about that.lol

I'm planning on bringing one of mine thanksgiving and the following week. I'm going to use each separately.. The outer shell I'll wear on splash mountain since its waterproof.

Ya'll crack me up. North Face for WDW? Really!?!

You know, Expedition Everest doesn't actually summit the Himalayas.
I'm very tolerant of cold temperatures, but you need a jacket for the nights you are at the parks until 2am when it's in the 40's. And a Denali NorthFace jacket is not good for 20 degrees just so you know, layering makes it sufficient, and I don't intend to look like an Eskimo.

I suppose everyone's tolerance to either cold or heat varies, person to person. It's been a number of years since I was in WDW during a winter month. Back then, I recall a few late, chilly evenings. So, it was an excuse for me to go buy a cute, Magic Kingdom sweatshirt! (So, my advice is to leave the jacket at home--because if you bring a jacket, then you can't justify buying a new sweatshirt to keep warm. ;) )

P.S.: Some of the clothing designs were better years ago, but if you get to Animal Kingdom, they tend to have more attractive clothing for sale.

Hope you have a fun vacation!

Oh, I agree that some sort of jacket will be required.

I have found a sweatshirt/windbreaker combo sufficient. Actually it's usually a polo for the day, throw on the sweatshirt over that at dusk, add the windbreaker about midnight. Also a knit hat and light gloves helps.

This has been such a difficult trip to pack for.. well, I haven't started packing.. but stressed out thinking about it.lol.

I don't k ow how my son is going to react..and I do not want a complaining kid..I also do not want to purchase a sweatshirt in the park.

For MVMCP we are wearing Ugly Christmas Sweaters and Santa hats. I'm going to have long layers under mine, maybe just a tee under kiddo's.. I can't decide if I want to get him an actual heavy sweater or just lightweight and thin. I am not at all prepared for next week!
