I have been bouncing back and forth between Tony's and Skipper, but cannot decide! Looking to make a reservations for the last night of our Fall 2017 trip, not exactly wanting to leave property (ya know, to soak up all the Magic Kingdom I can) but I am open to suggestions.

Thanks!

I would go with skipper. Tony's has never got good reviews which is a shame as it's a pretty restaurant. I often wonder why Disney don't react to negative restaurant feedback and make improvements to quality.

If it were me and I would be just throwing this out. First choice would be Ohana's. You can still see MK and you can easily go right back. The other bonus is getting a Lapu Lapu. Second would be Chef Mickey's. You get the characters, you get a good meal, and you can walk back to MK.

I've been to Tony's, it's not bad, just meh. My boss is a foodie and loves Skipper's Canteen, so it's probably awesome.

I'm trying Liberty Tree Tavern for the first time in April. I have high hopes.

After posting this my Husband suggested Liberty Tree! It sounds like we are leaning more towards Liberty Tree but Skipper does sill sound interesting and unique. You will have to let us know how Liberty Tree is this April!

I read all the reviews and I went to Tony's anyway and I loved it. The food was great. I don't understand the bad reviews.

Be Our Guest, is also a great place. Food and especially being in the castle.

I wanted to try Skippers but my wife (picky eater) couldn't find anything on the menu she liked.

I've enjoyed meals at Skippers and at Liberty Tree recently. Skippers had a really nice steak with chimichurri sauce -

... while Liberty Tree had some amazing pot roast -

They've changed their menu recently, and the pot roast is not on the menu. But rumor has it that you can still request it, and you can also request the incredible ooey gooey toffee cake -

Both restaurants are excellent, but Skippers adds in the element of the schmaltzy waiters a la Jungle Cruise, and it can be a very fun experience.

I haven't eaten at Tony's in years, but I've seen a lot of bad reviews.

All of that looks delicious! That is a bummer about the pot roast, it looks incredible! If I show that toffee cake to my husband, he will sure want to go to Liberty Tree haha

Depends what you're in the mood for. We LOVED our food at Skippers, and found Liberty Tree to be good, albeit a little on the plain side (minus that delicious dessert). Sometimes you just need something simple. :)

Both over Tony's. Better Italian food elsewhere at WDW.

It's not bad. It's just not good. Takes me back to the 80's when my mom would overcook the Muellers spaghetti (just a bit slimy) and serve it with Ragu ( a step above catsup)... Prego was too spicy. o_O

I'd try to get Cinderella's Castle for dinner. It's been four years ( 4 trips) since we've been able to get a reservation. Beautiful, elegant, and the food is top notch.

I think at the end of our 8 day trip we might be ok with a little plain and simple BUT Skipper's does sound really interesting. Has anyone have any issues getting a reservation at Skipper's since it is fairly new?

Liberty Tree is a must as is Be Our Guest, Tonys is a complete disaster avoid it. We have tried it over the years hoping it would improve but it hasn't to our Italian palates. If you want Italian try Mama Melrose over in Studios its good.

Just to be picky, the actual name is Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen. I've been calling it Skippers Canteen, but the short version would actually be the Skipper Canteen.

I we went to Tony's in November 2015 and had the best time. It does get some bad reviews but we've been 2x and loved it.

Haha I know the feeling...after nonstop eating, you wonder if your stomach can even take any more food! :p

You shouldn't have any problems if you check right around the 180 day mark. It's not like Be Our Guest.
