Best Longhouse at Poly

I have ressies Oct. 16 to Oct. 23 at the Poly, two garden view connecting rooms for me, the missus, and two boys (6 and 3). I can hardly wait! :sohappy: I can't decide which longhouse to request. Having dissected Tikiman's awesome website, I am thinking I want either balcony or patio rooms in a renovated longhouse. Any suggestions? Please help! :p

You picked a beautiful resort. I've only stayed there once and we had a balcony room in Rapa Nui. Its very quiet over there despite being right by the TTC...a short walk down a beautifully landscaped path. (thats great after a long evening out) The only drawback was it was far to walk to the main building, especially at night (for the kids to get snacks) or when it was raining.
Watching the fireworks & the Electric Water Pagent from the beach was a plus.

Have fun!

Great Choice! We will be there in Dec. We usually request Tokelau because you are in the center of everything. Short walk to TTC, just a little walk to GCH, and close to the pool. All around good spot!

I also always request Tokelau. You are near both pools, neat the TTC and the Great Ceremonial house. This is important, at least for us, because sometime we feel like taking the resort monorail from the Great Ceremonial House to MK and sometimes we feel like taking the TTC.

Have fun. I am going back in Dec for a long weekend and hoping we end up in Tokelau!

I agree with Ergens2 that Tokelau is a great longhouse because it's such a central location but I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. The Polynesian is my personal favorite out of all of the Disney resorts. We've stayed at this resort many many times. We also like to stay in the Hawaii longhouse (concierge, lagoon view). What a great view. Is this your first time staying at the Poly? If so be prepared to fall in love with it. I hope you guys have a great time.

Yes, it my first time at the Poly. Tokelau does look nice as far as location goes. Although I guess we will have a great time no matter which longhouse we stay in.

You absolutely will have a great experience staying at the Poly. Tokelau & Samoa are my favorites. We love the pools and usually spend at least one full day just hanging at the resort. If your family also has an affinity for lounging at the pools, you may like Samoa a little better as it is in between them. One more thing, got any room for a stowaway in your trunk? Have a great time. :animwink:

I agree, Samoa is awesome. :sohappy: My husband and I were there for 3 nights, two weekends ago. We had a room facing the pool and lagoon. It was nice and close to the GCH and not too long of a walk to the TTC. We were in room 3019, and we did notice that it had an adjoining door to room 3017. Third floor balconies are really nice, too!
