Best hotel for X-mas?

Thinking bout going in Dec 05 and wondering what the best hotel is to stay at for X-mas

I think the Wilderness Lodge is beautiful at Christmas time. With the huge tree and decorations, it really puts you in the Christmas spirit. My second favorite is the Boardwalk Inn.:xmas:

Any hotel within the property lines of the Walt Disney Worlds Resort!!!

Ok, seriously, I am a Caribbean Beach Resort fanatic!

I would suggest either the Wilderness Lodge or the Grand Floridian. Depends on what you're looking for -- I like both! WL has those fireplaces -- which seem like a great idea as it can get chilly that time of year. The GF's victorian theme is also well-suited for Holiday decorations -- the tree is always fabulous!

What is disney like at Christmas? The way I see it is that those are two different types of magic and I'm not so sure I want them to mix. But then again, i've never been to disney during Christmas. So how is it?

It's wonderful! There are parties (mickey's very merry christmas party), the Candlelight processional at Epcot, trees decorated in all the parks, christmas music, snow on main street during the party, trees in all of the resorts and the parks have wonderful christmas decorations every where you look.

If you want to try something different for Christmas, try the Polynesian! They also have tons of decorations up but they are all themed to the tropics. The wreathes are full of orchids, and the trees have various flowers instead of ornaments. It's quite beautiful.

You picked possibly the best time to visit, very little in the way of crowds, plus all the decorations are up, this is the time i go every year.

Wilderness lodge is hands down the best christmas hotel, and i've stayed in nearly all of the deluxe and moderates at christmas. The decorations are amazing and they fit into the theme of the woods to give a northern christmas in our bastion of moderate weather. Although I have to say I was very impessed with the Beach club the innagural year's christmas when they constructed the full sized gingerbread house
