Best Deluxe Hotel

We plan on staying in a deluxe hotel in 2015 because we have a fairly nice budget. We will be a group of 4 teens/young adults (17,18,18,22)and want to have a good location and nice pool. I am really thinking the Yacht club is a good option because it's close to epcot and HS with an amazing pool or the Polynesian (MY MOST FAVORITE RESORT EVER) and splurge. I have stayed at both before. What do you think is the nicest deluxe resort for the money? How do you guys feel about splitting the trip between the 2 hotels? We would probably be there 6 or 7 days so i'm not sure it'd work.

If I had to guess I would say either the Polynesian will be under construction or completed by late 2015. Maybe you can be one of the first in the new resort.

Any news on whether they're gonna get rid of the new air freshener (and I use that word loosely) in the GCH.

Well they are going to keep it because so far managment says that people are telling them they love it. Unless those that don't like it speak up, they won't think that there is anyone that does not like it.

just like all the complaints I was getting about the pool activities being too noisey, no one was complaining to managment so they did nothign about it. People come onto these forums and complain about stuff but don't tell those who can do something about it.

I don't know what I think of the smell because I have not experienced it yet but I am told it is very strong. Some people have been asking where they can buy it.

polynesian would be great for your age group. but it depends on whether you will be spending more time at epcot and HS, then you should consider yacht club as you mentioned.

I complained. I sent an email to Guest relations with a link to the thread on here with people complaining about it. I got a call this afternoon on my way home from Disney thanking me, but telling me they were going to keep it.

Although I could stay at the Poly and just avoid the GCH for the most part, I'm not going to stay there based on principle. They lost a $5,000 reservation from me this summer and I spent the money renting points from someone through DVC.

If everyone was over 21, I'd go with the Beach Club or Yacht club due to it's proximity to Epcot, but in your case I'd go with the Poly.

Exactly this. Beach Club if you are of age to hit "drinking around the world" (Yacht Club is kinda too stuffy for young adults) otherwise go with the Poly for sure :)

For the age group, POLY. Monorail to MK and EPCOT. A really fun resort that's not stuffy at all, but GF is not stuffy either, and has a hot tub, 2 signature restaurants, and impeccable service.
