Best day in December--help me pick!

We're taking my son for his 4th birthday, and it's important to me to choose the day with the lowest crowds. We can go any day in December as long as it's a Monday or a Friday (travel Sunday and Tuesday, or Thursday and Saturday to minimize time off of work while still avoiding weekend crowds). I had been thinking Monday the 5th, but I read somewhere that the Value resorts have something going on that week and the next may be better? What do you think?

I would go the second Monday...because I would think that Friday would naturally be busier. Also, the Christmas parade is usually filmed during the first weekend of December. I would personally avoid that time because it is often hard to get around with roped areas and extra crowds. In you want to be a part of it or to see it, that's one thing, but I was there during that time and it was not enjoyable. Check the calender to see if it's an Extra Magic Hours day on the Monday or Friday that you choose at Magic Kingdom...if it is, it's sure to be more crowded.
