It’s blatantly obvious which will win due to the audience you’re asking. I’m surprised you didn’t include the other versions too.
I asked DL's vs WDW's as this is a WDW site, but the Disneyland section so...
Paris, Tokyo, and Hong Kong are very similar to DL's lmao, why would I include all of them at that point if they're nearly identical?
Anyway, changed the poll!

I'm reserving a vote in case the ride is rethemed to the upcoming Lightyear movie. I can only speak for Disneyland's version, but the ride is due for some polish.

Hong Kong’s doesn’t exist anymore and Shanghai’s is perhaps the most different of them all, but yeah the other two are pretty similar to DL’s. I don’t really care and maybe some interesting discussion will come out of it! Overall I like these kind of threads.

I’m conflicted on which is the best, but I’d say Shanghai’s is the worst, which is really unfortunate considering it’s also the newest. The queue is pretty dull (no Buzz animatronic) and the ride is surprisingly static. The whole thing feels more sleek and less plastic-like though which is nice.

I appreciate what Shanghai's did with the extended lanscape and depth thru screens as backgrounds, and it had an advantage of being built ground up rather than working in existing space, but at the end of teh day...

WALT DISNEY WORLD. It just needs a refurb like everything else tends to at the resort. Upkeep. It has the best name in my opinion, and keeps in the theme of Buzz Lightyear existing as a toy property that thinks it is a space ranger. Which simultaniously fits Tomorrowland and Toy Story.

None of them are great, but I'd have to go with the DL/DLP/TDL/former HKDL version. They're far too similar for me to choose a favorite of those four. If it didn't have FP/Genie/whatever on it I'd probably just go with DL's because I miss the days when you could pretty much ride it in 10 minutes whenever you wanted. Not sure why Disney decided that was bad.

Although I also don't recall waiting for Hong Kong's version either, and defunct attractions are automatically elevated just a bit. Maybe Hong Kong's was secretly the best version all along...

The WDW version is embarrassing.

The Shanghai Buzz is better in some aspects (ex. shooting/target responsiveness) but for all the crowing about how it's the best version, I'm not so sure. The color palate is dull and unappealing (lots of ugly brown and orange) and the aesthetic doesn't seem to fit the Toy Story universe well. The McDonald's Playland aesthetic of the others isn't great but feels more honest with what the ride actually is AND what is established in the first two films particularly. At least the older versions have more vibrant and varied colors. The Shanghai version is also very similar in some ways to Ant Man, which I had ridden before the Shanghai Buzz, and perhaps that has also negatively affected my opinion of the ride. At any rate, for me the "upgraded" Buzz is Shanghai's most overrated feature.

This sums up why I always a have a sub par feeling about the ride, despite enjoying the shooting and spinning aspect. As much as I like Toy Story it seems jarring to ride through a happy meal at Disneyland.

I appreciate Shanghai going with a more realistic look of a space adventure, but its very repetitive without much movement/interaction. WDW does have slightly more impressive sets, but subpar vehicles/guns as well as music. In the end, there are no winners for me. Its a mediocre experience everywhere. Such a fun opportunity squandered.

All I know is I went on TSMM for the first time in a couple years recently and man that attraction needs an update. I’ll just settle for them fixing those terrible dim screens. I still think that on its best day its better than Spider-Man but right now Spider-Man is better.

In regards to BLAB there’s no way it survives a TL redo right?

Just replace it already. One could make an argument that it’s better than TSMM or Spider-Man (although I’d disagree) but Nobody can say it isn’t the most poorly placed of the 3 by far.

Since the late 90s a Disney attraction is only as popular as its gift store. As long as Disneyland sells enough Toy Story merchandise in Tommorowland I'm sure it will stay.
