Staying 4/13-4/15 at GF garden view and am wondering what building is best to request. Right now I am thinking boca chica looks nice. Anyone who has stayed there who can give me some advice about rooms or other floridian tips?

This is our deluxe garden view room in Conch Key (January 2013)...obviously need to imagine it without the walls around the pool. :D

Loved this room...very quiet and just steps away from the boat dock/Narcoossee's.

I am a big fan of Boca Chica. I think the location is good (proximity to the pool and main building.) All the buildings are relatively close to the main building (one of the reasons I just love the layout of the Grand.) Big Pine Key is nice too, but I've heard horror stories about that building being the one with all the little kids. Conch Key is a little far, Sugar Loaf is off the chart in price, and Sago Cay...well it's just out there. LOL! So, I would go with Boca Chica. Request it before and at check-in...it's not an overly busy hotel (usually) so you should get what you want. For example, last July I was literally asked what building and floor I would like. I chose Boca and 4th floor. Just be careful, the 4th and 5th floors have dormers. These have vaulted ceilings, are smaller, and have no day bed. I would request the 3rd floor (I don't like first floor rooms, but that is just my preference.) Enjoy the Grand, and give her my regards! We just left yesterday :(
