Hello All,

Planning our July 2016 WDW trip and I'm looking for everyone's thoughts, opinions, must-do's and don't do's for Breakfast in WDW. Any style of dining (quick service, table service, buffet, etc.,) is acceptable. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Our 2 absolute faves we have to do are Kona Cafe at Poly and Boma/or Tusker House (they are very similar but Tusker has characters) at AKL (Boma)/AK
(Tusker).
Look at the menus at all breakfast locations and figure out which places appeal to you most. There is lots of great options to choose from. :)

I can vouch for the breakfast buffet at Trail's End at Fort Wilderness. We never need a reservation, eggs benedict, Mickey waffles with bacon and walking distance to my RV.

And last year in the March Easter break time frame, we got breakfast sandwiches from Casey's Corner a couple of times. Quick and tasty.

Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace are both great buffets and they have characters come to your table; so if you have kids, they will enjoy it even more.

If you do Crystal Palace or Be Our Guest...get a reservation early, like around 8am, because you'll get into the park before it opens and be able to take pictures without the massive crowds.

Boma at AKL is another great buffet that offers American as well as African themed foods. Before or after, you can walk around and take in the views :)

This may sound silly, but the best breakfasts we've had were in our room. I brought the small box variety pack with us, and then got fresh milk at the resort store. We brought some paper bowls and spoons. Not having to deal with people and crowds was a treat for us. Plus, we saved a bunch of money on meals. We also brought snacks with us. Most snacks at the park were about $4-5 each.

^^^^^^This unless you're doing CP pre park opening!

If you're on the dining plan, I'd say don't waste any quick service credits on the meals. They're better used for lunch or dinner.

Now, with that out of the way, the waffles at Sleepy Hollow are AMAZING.

Our favorite spot for breakfast is Whispering Canyon you can not go wrong with All You Can Drink Smoothies and the breakfast All You Can Eat skillet along with the waiter and waitress interactive entertainment. We also enjoy the buffet at Chef Mickey with the characters.
This is so true! I took my wife here for Mother's Day one year and she loved it. Plus all you can drink milkshakes at 8am...can't be beat haha!

As of right now, we have ADR's for Cape May, Ohana and Crystal Palace. I've received a lot of recommendations for Boma. Has anyone tried 1900 Park fare?

For the record, no kids on this trip!

I have! Love it. Good selection of food in the buffet, wonderful atmosphere, and even if you have all adults in your party, the character interactions can be a lot of fun.

*Update* I just made ADR's for Kona and Boma. So as it stands, we have bfast reservations for Cape May, Ohana, Crystal Palace, Kona & Boma. Any other suggestions? Anything I should remove, add?

We are all about the parks. So our favorite breakfast is Be Our Guest. WHY? Because we have managed to get 8 o'clock reservations, used a quick service credit and they opened the rides 15 minutes before rope drop, both times we had the reservation. The food is OK but for a quick service credit and riding 7 dwarfs and Peter Pan before the crowd gets there makes it worth it.

We enjoyed the new breakfast at Garden Grill last month, it was a lot of fun and good food.

Boma is good as well. Plenty of options for the picky eater, and a lot to choose from for the adventurous types as well.

'Ohana for breakfast is a favorite as well.

On the QS side, I usually get a cinnamon roll at Gaston's (MK) at least one for breakfast.. It is just a snack credit on the DDP.

Ate at 1900 Park Fare this past May and probably experienced the best character interaction I've ever had, compared to other Character Breakfast options at Disney. Food was great, but also very similar to what you would get at Crystal Palace and Cape May Cafe. Each place has a couple unique options that you won't get at the other. Essentially, if character interaction is important to you and your wife, then I highly recommend 1900 Park Fare because you'll see Alice, Mad Hatter, Tigger, Evil Step Mother/Sisters, Cinderella, ect.
