Best Birthday Resturant

In your opinion which restaurant is best for a birthday breakfast/lunch/dinner? My daughter will be turning 11 on our next visit trying to decide which restaurant to book. Was going to do the Beauty and the Beast Castle but we booked the trip too late to get a reservation.

Last year we were at Teppan Edo for our daughter's 13th birthday. She really enjoyed the experience. The chef went out of his way to include her in the presentation and then wrote her name on the chef hat in Japanese. She received lots of birthday wishes the rest of the day in Epcot and that hat (I know that is not the correct term) has become a treasure from that trip.

Also, keep trying for BoG. We are 140 days out and yesterday I snagged a reservation for dinner for our family of four at BoG. I was online just sort of goofing around and happened to get that one. Good luck!

There are just so many options. I would recommend to keep trying on BOG or at least try for FP+ for lunch if you think she'd enjoy it, but does she have any favorite characters or types of food that she really likes? I mean, for one person- having a bday meal inside the castle at CRT might be the way to go, another might be thrilled with the slapstick at WCC, and so on. We've done bday meals at everything from Chef Mickey's, CRT, and Akershus to 'Ohana, Cali Grill, and Le Cellier. I know Cali Grill doesn't exactly say kid bday, but we had a nice cake delivered for my daughter and timed it with fireworks. Just so many options depending on what she's into and what you're up for. :)

Her favorite is Belle. We did Ohana's for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner last time we were there for her birthday when she turned 6, they were fun. I was just looking for some new fun options. I like the idea for timing with the fireworks. Lots of decisions. Thanks :)

If she likes Belle, you might consider Akershus. You meet Belle in her yellow dress and take pictures with her before the meal. Belle doesn't mingle in the dining rooms like the other 4-princesses, but you'll at least get a complimentary photo of your daughter and Belle to help commemorate the birthday. Belle was my older one's fave when we did her 2011 bday trip to WDW and we did Akershus dinner to celebrate.

We did Akershus for our five year olds birthday breakfast this past year. It was awesome. She got to be a part of the princess parade thru the restaurant. She loved it!

Our DS has chosen Whispering Canyon for his birthday for the last three years. They make a huge deal about it and get the entire restaurant involved. Boys and girls seem to really enjoy it. We even managed to have the same waitress 2 different years, by pure chance! They make it really special.

If you go with the cake try to be very specific. We celebrated my husbands birthday during Star Wars Weekend. We ordered the cake over the phone about a month in advance. We went with a Yoda Birthday cake and they wrote it out Yoda style...but somewhere along the way it got a little messed up. It came out as "Happy Birthday, We hope you have...a daddy!" It should have been Happy Birthday We Hope You Have. Not sure where the "a daddy" came from but we still laugh about it to this day.

Sounds fun. This is on the top of the list so far. Do you have to make reservations? Is dinner better then lunch? We have never eaten here.

After reading this I checked this morning, we are 42 days out, and was able to snag a 7:20 ADR for our first night. Thanks @Dwarful That happens to be the day we are celebrating my husband's birthday so definitely don't give up @C.M.O on trying if you decide to go that route. Happy travels.

Yes on the reservations. We prefer dinner, the place just seems much more lively in our opinion. I usually pre- order an occasion cake from Disney, just to make it personal and special. One year, the chef came out complaining that this "Drew cake" was taking up way too much room in his refrigerator and wanted to know who this "Drew" was that was "causin' such a ruckus in the kitchen!" It was absolutely great.

Betsyboo Glad you were able to snag an ADR for BoG! Especially on the night you are celebrating a birthday...how fun! It never hurts to check every day. Things happen and sometimes people have to make changes. Enjoy and have fun!
