Best Birthday Breakfast?

Does anyone have a favorite restaurant for a birthday breakfast? I'm going in March with my best friend who's celebrating a birthday. I wanted to go to Cindarella's Castle, but they're all booked up so...I'm looking for another idea. I'd like to go somewhere where they do something a little special. It doesn't have to be anything over the top, but just something to recognize her special day would be great.

Thanks!

I've celebrated my last two birthdays at Chef Mickey's for breakfast. The buffet selection is tremendous and the food was always been tasty. And, as I said, there is just so much. The characters have been Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale.

They throw a celebration every half hour I believe, and I get a special birthday placemat and a cupcake. The, when it is "party time," the waitress SCREAMS out that there is a birthday boy, so there is def. recognition, from patrons, the staff, and of course the characters.

Granted, the atmosphere is nothing like within the Castle, yet you get way more food and more options, and really fun characters.

I have always enjoyed myself here, and so has my family. It was one of the highlights for our grandparents (1st character meal) on our most recent trip.

It is located in the Contemporary Resort, and thus is just a quick ride/walk over to Magic Kingdom, where the celebration can continue in style.

I TOTALLY agree with SURFSUPDON!!!

I can't think of a better place to celebrate your Birthday Breakfast than CHEF MICKEY'S!!!

The cool part of it is that a part of the character "show" is actually dedicated to those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, so you get some "special" treatment! :sohappy:

In addition, the food is good and it's only a short monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom to walk it off afterwards!

(Of course, for dinner I'd have to change my selection to the HOOP DEE DOO!) :lookaroun

ENJOY YOUR DAY!!!

I also wanted to mention that if you are bet and determined to dine for a breakfast with the princesses, remember to try Akershus in Norway.

But my vote is still with longtime favorite Chef Mickey's Breakfast at the Contemp. Make sure you let your hostess and waitress know that it is her birthday, and have fun!

YUP YUP YUP

we went Chef Mickey's thanks to this site.

Hardly anyone goes so the characters spend ages at each table.
you get a really cool photo with your family and then with Goofy! its soo cool.

And that celebration is a bit weird tho - everyone has to twirl their knapkins to the tune!:confused:strange...but Minnie enjoys it!!!

Also, i dont know if anywhere else does them, but Mickey shaped waffles are soo gorgeous! And then you poor all that maple syrup on top! :slurp:

Best breakfast of my life - recommend it any day

Do they celebrate anything else besides B'days???

We are going on a trip in Oct...our last (for a LONG time) as a family. My daughter is on defferred enrollment and will be leaving for Marine Corps boot camp about a month after we return home.
Being a 'mom', I LOVE to 'embarrass' my kids by telling EVERYone we see, that my daughter is a Marine!
Do you think she might get a little 'special attention' if I told the hostees this????
She would be SOOOO embarressed but would truly lover it down deep!!!
