I always seem to miss the specials they air on tv about WDW. Last time I was working like everyday during the times they aired. I was curious. What would you say is the best behind the scenes DVD or VHS? I'm very interested in getting one. Thanx

I haven't heard of any behind the scenes DVD's out there.

Your best bet is to go to Travel Channel's website (at discovery.com) and do a search for the behind-the-scenes shows you are interested in. They usually have a listing of when each show will be aired in the next month or so.

Not that it's behind the scenes, but I am impressed with the Vacation Planning DVD! (although I'm still using my parents' copy- haven't gotten mine since ordering it the first week of January!)

I am a bit confused - are you referring to the official Disney releases that you buy in the parks, stores, etc. or the specials that are aired on channels like the Travel Channel.

Official Productions:
I like the Treasuries Edition - Disneyland USA. Lots of old clips from Walt. It has the Grand Opening from Disneyland. PLus lots of other goodies.

TV Productions:
I liked the Animal Kingdom one. It had a lot of very interesting stuff about how they went beyond a zoo and made a theme park. The specioal feed troughs to draw them close, the safety precautions, animal production, and ride elements. Very informative.

Good question. I'm looking for something that I can buy and see at a later time as many times as I can. I was not aware that the travel channel was selling the shows on tape. Thanx for bringing it up.

As far as I know, they aren't. Just a lot of us watch/record them. We have several posted on #Disney-Central. Follow the link in my signature for more info.
