I have been hearing rumors that Believe...There's Magic In The Stars is leaving. I understand that they are going to develop a new show for the 50th Anniversery. But I want to know when they will stop running it? Will they keep Believe until they start the celebration, or will they cut it once the holiday season begins?

Believe's gone. It's been gone for quite some time. I was replaced by Imagine... A Fantasy in the Sky... which I now hear is also gone. *sigh*

They actually decided to keep Imagine around on the weekends! That made me very happy - gives me more time to try to get a good audio recording of it!!

And the 50th fireworks are going to be called "Remember... Dreams Come True."

Believe ended around May I think and Imagine ran the whole summer. I think its still running, but on a limited basis. Just weekends because its off season.

Imagine is running now because Fantasmic! is closed. Imagine will most likely run until Fantasmic! returns, and they will show Fantasmic!, only, until May 5, when Remember premiers. Given former patterns at Disneyland and the fact that they will be doing even more serious work on the Castle in the spring, this seems the most likely to me.

Believe had its last run on May 30, and Imagine began on June 4. They killed it VERY quietly. I went in on the Wed before the final showing on Believe and started grilling Guests Relations about it. They thought I was crazy. Even THEY didn't know it was leaving, just days before.

You should! I was prepared to hate it for replacing Believe... but I loved it! It's no Believe, IMHO, but it's very impressive. My favorite spot to stand is in the hub on the castle side. I think it really gives you the fullest effect there, even if the castle is covered.

BTW, I'm *still* looking for a clean copy of the medley used in the middle of this show...

I think they knew people would be upset if Believe left before the 50th, and they were quiet about it to try and keep people from complaining.

The archives at Mouseplanet don't go back far enough, but my memory is that they had to reduce the number of shells fired due to air quality reasons.

That was one of the rumors. There were a lot of rumored reasons why it happened. Budget cuts (by cutting the number of shells), air quality, putting a cheap show between Believe and Remember to make Remember look better (that's the conspiracy theory version :p )...
