As always another great fun trip to the World. Even 10 days goes by in the blink of an eye. When we got to the airport to come home it felt like we just got off to start our trip. Many things have already been cover'ed by other's so I may not elaborate too much.
Mears - little bit dissapointed with 'em this trip. Had to wait about an hour for a bus to POR. In years past I think the most I ever waited was no more than 25 minute's. Not a trip ruiner but that's valuable park time wasting away.
POR - Tremendous as always. CM at check in told me no smoking rooms available and we would have to stay in a non smoking room for 1 nite then move to a smoking room the next day. I initially agreed but then checked with guest services. CM at guest service's informed us a smoking room was being clean'ed and would be available in an hour. Wonder why the first guy did'nt catch that ? Oh well, inconvenience avoided, no big deal.
For those who have caught the Bob Jackson show at POR, well this year my mom was part of it. He had her and a bunch of other women up by the stage doing the chicken dance. And I did'nt have a camera of any kind.
CM's woth mentioning - Eddie the bus driver via NY and Chicago. Funny guy. Came up with some material I have'nt heard before. Left behind kids become part of Small World, personal items left behind get sold on Ebay.
All the CM's from the Philly area. Specifically the dude in The Emporium who informed me that my Eagles where beating the hated Cowboys. Hope they eventually get ya a Philly tag instead of a Pittsburgh tag.
CM at RNRC...walking in all by myself, he starts toward me from the inside podium saying they were closing...I was like: what, 15 more minute's dude !!! Laughing he say's: Nah come on in, I do that to people all the time when it's close to closing and were slow. Talked a little Aerosmith had a couple laugh's, good guy.
Trie'd to find some of the CM's who post here to say hi but never saw any I'd reconize by pics or name tags. Congrat's to Tyler...he seems to be well like'd by his co-workers. Few of 'em said..oh yeah Tyler, really nice guy.
Mission Space/Wishes/Philharmagic - Outstanding each one. But Philharmagic is the hands down winner for me. Must see !!! Not a bad seat in the house but please, keep moving down the row. And don't look at me nasty if I have to walk over you because YOU stopped !!!
MS - Saw plenty of people back out at the last minute. Felt bad for one girl who after the ride was sitting with her head between her knee's with all kinds of security around her. Think there was even a paramedic. Ended up doing it 5 times. Never even noticed it was spinning. That lift off simulator is awesome.
AK - another year, another direct hit on Kali. Nothing like watching that 7/8 foot wall of water about to drop on ya and there's not a damn thing you can do about it !!! Oh well at least it was warm that day. And it IS kinda fun. For the record...if your gonna wear a poncho on this, why even bother getting on. I got off drenched and some guy ask's me where to sit so he wont get too wet. I told him, not next to me and you ARE getting wet.
Epcot - Not a whole lot to report other than MS, but look for my picture a Restaurant Akershus. I think I may denied entry if I show up again. I'm not usually a big eater but I think the lack of food that day really show'ed. 3 trips to the buffet with practically full plates and 1 hot dish. Even I was stunned. They lost money on me ! Wonder if they got more Salmon in yet ??
MGM - Umbrella lampost not working. Stunt show going up real fast. Not enough time in the Haunted Mansion set show to look around. But interesting. Missed seeing the Osbourne light's this year. Hopefully next year.
MK - Where to start ? Buzz - I don't mind the picture taking thingy but they need to tone down the constant flashing directly in your eye's. And the ride locks so cant spin the car to hit the targets. Speaking of target's..I noticed they took away the 100,000 point target on the orange robot at the beginning. I did find another 100,000 pointer across from the battery room. It's located......please remain seated behind your computer, this trip report has momentarily stopped and will begin again shortly...
Please remain seated this trip report will begin immediately...
Great to see COP and Timekeeper open. Obviously so were a lot of other people. Both had great crowds going in and coming out. Had to do each a few times since I have'nt seen 'em in a long time.
Did MVMCP 12/4...Only way you could do some attractions. I'm sure everyone here know's which one's i'm talking about. Lot's of fun/space.
I'm sure I forgot too mention many thing's but one last thought. I'm anxiously awaiting my thank you note's from Disney and the Florida state treasury office for all the money I left behind. Wont mention the price (that would be tacky), but I saw a grey Mickey jacket with black leather sleave's that I had to have.
Thanks for reading......for those of you that made it !!!!
