I have ressies for Tutto italia but upon looking at their menu and the amount of food my husband is going to get I am not so sure he will get full on that tiny little dish. Is the beirgarten have traditional foods. meaning they are all not weird. or krautie??? I am not fond of off the wall meats. I do like salads and veggies but their menu doesnt really say much. Is it fun? and or do you suggest anywhere else where we can eat that he will feel full.

I have
Teppon Edo
Nine Dragons
50's Prime
Yak and yeti
Boma I am not fond of this place
Liberty tavern
Tutto Italia
Kona break
Tusker Break
Crystal break
Wolfgang lunch x 2
Sunshine seasons lunch
Flame Tree lunch
Riverside Mill lunch
Pepper Market lunch
mara lunch
Pecos Bills lunch

Hi! I am a pescatarian (I eat fish) and I have dined many a time at the Biergarten. My family and I used to live in Germany, we fell in love with the food and the culture. On many trips to Epcot my family asked that our ressie's be made in Germany to relive are memories through the food, atmosphere, music, the beer and wine. I have found that there are many options for me, for starters they have this great salmon dish, the salad bar is amazing, on top of all that there are many other options and the deserts are out of this world. I would tell you to give it a shot, you just may find a new favorite plus many new types of food you would have typically never tried before.

I do not like fish or saurkraut, or sausage's Just regular food. We are in the middle of Texas and eat good food, regular foods. but if you say there are things on the menu I will eat then I might just have to try it. I just am wondering about Tutto though. Looks like movie star portions for millionair prices if you know what I mean.We are on the DDp so not a problem with $$$ By the way LOVE Colorado especially Estes and spent 10 days in Divide in a cabin and Colorado Springs in August. Best time to go. Good food also..

Oh fun I live in the Springs! What part of Texas are you in? I have a lot of Family in Austin, which is another place I happen to frequent and love outside of Colorado, Las Vegas and good ole WDW!
As for Tutto I have never dined there. I love Italian food but I have a few amazing Italian reataurants that I haunt here in the Springs that are owned by family's from the old country that are not messing around, the food blows all other Italian food out of the water. For Italian food in the parks, I have heard that the food at Tony's Town Square (MK) is good and I really enjoy Mama Melrose's (DHS) so if I where to choose I would go elsewhere.

Middle of Texas by San Angelo. Have lots of customers from Austin. Used to go there alot. But you see what I mean about good food.. Thats why San Angel is the worst. Embarresment to Mexican. I am not talking Tex Mex becasue we are from Albuquerque or grew up there and miss that so much. I would give to be where you are now. We really enjoyed doing all the sites. Perfect weather that month. I think we will try something else. I cannot stand Olive gardena dn if Tutto is on that level then I should change. Is Tony's on that level. Have you ever eaten at Zios? If you ahve it is hard to eat at any other Italian place after having that. best stuff all around. Let me know the names of the places in Clorado Springs we are going again next August... AFTER a trip to Disneyland Cali in June..

I am an extremely picky eater, and I had no problem at the Biergarten. In fact I loved it. There is roast chicken and giant pretzels, and plain salads as well as mac n cheese at the kids end of the buffet (which the adults all ate from freely as well). The fun, festive atmosphere and oompah music can't be beat. Our family of 4 all loved it.

I hate Olive Garden as well! I figure if I want soup & salad I can make it at home or go to the restaurant with the same name. As for Zio's, yes I have been there and it is very good. I'm not sure how it would compare with Tutto's or Tony's as I have never dined at either. Mama Melrose's on the other hand I would say is more traditional compared to the tuscan fare Zio's offers.
As for the little Italian restaurants that I frequent in Colorado Springs, here is that list:
Antonio's (Garden of the Gods rd.)
Roman Villa (Nevada ave)
Luigi's Restaurant (S. Tejon)
Paravicini's Italian Bistro (Colorado ave)
I hope on your next trip to the Springs you are able to give one of these a shot I think you will like any of the 4. :slurp:

Great list thanks so much I will give them a try and any other cuisine you think is good. We ate at a little whole in the wall place on the main street in Manitou that was wonderful. Several others cannot think of the name but would recognize them. I do know there is a terrible mexican food place on the stream by some cabins and has an outdoor patio. was the worst ever. almost as bad as San Angel. Thanks so much. I had zios in Dallas last week and already miss it.

I have a feeling you ate at Amandas Fonda which in my opinion is the worst Mexican food ever! I am not familiar with all the restaurants in Manitou but the Loop, which is right on the "strip" is amazing.

I think it was but not sure. Sounds like it. When you pull in the lot to park there is a park with the cutest cabins and a stream running in front of them. We stopped to look at the cabins and thought we might try it. We sat on the patio, but this was just the worst. Authentic Hispanics that did not speak much english but the worst in food. I love baby A's in Austin. Margaritas are to almost die for.. :slurp:

What are some places you have dined at in the World? In knowing, I may be able to help in finding some places you may like to try.

Well I can tell you that you have great taste. It turns out you have picked out a few of my Favorites for instance the Liberty Tree Tavern is great for Lunch or Dinner and is my pick for TS in MK.
As for some of your Lunch choices Columbia Harbor House is one of the best in MK, Yak & Yeti local Foods is a great place in DAK, and the Pepper Market at CSR is great, the way everything is set up there is strange but the portions are big and when it comes to options they are the best in my opinion. Also at CSR you can find many other dinning options such as the Luguna Bar, Cafe Rix, Rix Lounge and from what I have heard one of the best deals at WDW especially if you are on thr DDP, the Maya Grille which is CSR's TS restaurant. Other than that this next trip is bringing me to the Rose & Crowne (Epcot), Boatwrights (POR & FQ), Cookes of Dublin (DTD), Kouzzina, and another favorite Big River Grille (BWR).

Lots of new places for us both. I think I have a good lineup. I have been looking over at passporters forum on the food pictures and the ones from Tutto look good. Not so sure about Beirgarten I will choose closer to time, Then i thought to add back in Whispering Canyon. It s good but last time a lot of fat on the meat did me in. I just cannot stand meat with fat so tend to shy away from getting any meats that I cannot see totally how they are.Yea the lunch menus i picked like mara are a secret it looks like and Pepper MarketmRiverside Mill all have TS prices and quantitys it looks like so will try those out and get to see the resorts to boot as we have never been. I think the next time maybe a couple of years from now we will try Boatrights but heard too many complaints about Kozzina on the podcast. Not enough food for the money is what Steve said. The sampler platter for apps were so tiney and were told the 6 of them could share and he said it was pitiful. 3 tiny meatballs the size of grapes he said so watch out for that. Said it cost them 300.00 to get out of there and had to go somewhere else to eat even his Mother of age 79. Good luck with them and let us know when you get back how they all went. I see you are going next week... I still ahve 26 more days.....longggggggggggggggggg days..

Yes I will be leaving next Thursday for Thanksgiving. I will be staying with the folks for a bit in Coco Beach where they reside for part of the year and plan on just hanging out with them and other family until I head back to WDW. I'm beyond excited as I'm sure you can imagine.
A month till your trip is a while away but preping for the trip can be so much fun. I hope you have a blast! Thanks for the Kouzzina tip, looks like we may reconsider that descision and maybe hit up the Flying Fish or one of the other surrounding Restaurants maybe even give Blue Zoo (Dolphin) a shot!

My fussy eater DH enjoyed the Biergarten, although he does like sausage very much, and you say you don't. There are probably four or five kinds of cured meats on the buffet. I enjoy trying new things, so I liked it a lot too.

We have eaten at Tutto Italia and enjoyed it, although I did think it was very expensive. I can't recall the portion sizes, but I left satisfied (my tummy anyway, if not my wallet)

We also ate at Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge and had a really good meal. The atmosphere there is kind of upscale, but the food was not overly fancy and I found it very tasty.

I have them both booked but think we wil probably just go to Tutto. I know it won't be Zios but I really think I will not like Beirgarten myself. I am not a big fan of meat unless I cook it. But I will see when the day comes. I will be there on Dec 8th to eat at Teppon that night and then again Dec 10 that is where I have them both scheduled. So I think I might pop in on Tuesday and look a the offerings then decide and cancel one or the other.
