We will be making our tenth family trip to WDW in February of 2013. Our DS will be 14. We are dying to do a behind the scenes tour or the Segway tour. How strict is Disney on the age limit?? We did the steam trains tour and loved it. Thanks for any info you can offer!

They are very strict on age for the segway tour from what I've heard. You should call Disney to double check.

I think they're pretty firm on ages.
I've taken a lot of tours. Some I liked more than others, but I've never really been sorry that I went on any of them.
The Segway tour is pretty good if you just want to ride a Segway around. If you want a ton of good info on the World Showcase, you're out of luck. But they do make you stop a LOT and listen to some guy tell you stuff about the countries. I just wanted to ride the Segway.
I really think they should have two different tours - one tour where you can ride around on a Segway and another where you hear a lot of info about the World Showcase.

they will not let a kid ride one on his own simply due to the liability incurred should anything happen, however that is not why im posting.
i took the tour and loved it. so my advice to you is DONT DO IT!!!! i swear once u do it you will want one for the rest of your life, lol. i did the tour in 2006 and im still depresed cause they are to expensive for me to buy. now i wish i never did it, ignorance is bliss after all, lol
