Bed making

I don’t think that that is an unreasonable request, Disney resorts are a service industry and are use to personal requests such as that. I remember a female co-working saying she always asked that maid service not touch the bathroom as she had all her cosmetics etc. laid out for her morning routine and didn’t want anything disturbed. As this is a special request I would think that any gratuity left for housekeeping be larger than normal. You may wish to consult the internet on the subject of farm subsidies where farmer are paid by the government to not grow certain crops as being paid to not make beds seems to fall into the same category.

This isn't from West Point by any chance? - I was there in 1994 and the dorm furniture was identical. Then again, probably military issue goods look the same everywhere...

It's not USMA West Point I was there for 4 years, that is a British photograph of some sort, check out the hat on the wardrobe and the sign outside the window.

I just use the do not disturb sign, no mousekeeping on most days. I'll have them clean the room halfway through our stay. If we need anything extra we normally will see one of the mousekeepers in a hallway and ask them for it.

But asking them to not make your bed is their still providing service. So, I would still leave a tip if I were you. They would have honored your request.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask a manager to your room and show fem how you want your bed made each morning.

On a side note, which resort has the best house keeping services?

It's actually Barlinnie Prison in Glasgow..I served some time there years ago when I stupidly got talked into joining a street gang from a village called Drumchapel..After doing 3 years out of 5 years they let me go..My singing and playing guitar at night was upsetting my fellow inmates..:banghead:

The hat helps date the photo as it has a reflective band, added after some recruits were killed waking back to camp on an unlit road. Obviously this was before we got used to staying in hotels. pre duvet days too

Better yet, wait for them to make it the wrong way, then complain - maybe you'll get an upgrade.
