I'm sorry if this was posted already, but I ws watching the BatB DVD Special Edition tonight, and I found that if you wait a while during the credits of the "Behind the Scenes" stuff (found in the Lumiere section of the Bonus Feautres DVD) they have some clips from Mike Eisner's interview with him talking about his idea for a live action Beauty and the Beast movie.
His idea was to bring the longer, brodway version to the screen and shoot it on location in Europe. There's a bunch to this little "confession" Eisner makes on the DVD. I thought it was kinda funny because he looked pretty exited and serious about it, and at the very end he says "...in fact, I think I'm going to talk to my guys about it tomorrow!"
