Beaches and Cream or Ghirardelli for Birthday Dessert?

Beaches and Cream is Edy's ice cream. So other than the toppings it's nothing special. Ghirardelli is better IMO. I will also suggest looking at Ample Hills at Boardwalk. Very good!

I highly suggest Ample Hills as well over both of those options. My wife and I stumbled onto it when doing a DVC room tour and it was the best ice cream I have had on property. I have had Beaches and Cream and it was entirely disappointing even before going to Ample Hills. I really dont understand the raving about it but we dont have kids and I know the kitchen sink is a big draw for them. Ghirardelli was just meh but as said above, better than Beaches and Cream.

While Beaches n Cream has the infamous kitchen sink and other food options, the quality of the ice cream at Ghirardelli and Ample Hills are much better.

Beaches n Cream and Ghirardelli are both really yummy options. Personal preference would be Ghirardelli for me, but I LOVE chocolate. Amorette's Patisserie is another really good option. I had their Mickey Mousse which I think was $8.00 last year. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her!

If someone wants other food options they can also try The Fountain at the Dolphin. I find that food to be better in general there too. I know many love B&C and we have eaten there too but I just think there's better elsewhere on property
Ample Hills was a major downfall for us our last trip. We must have gone 3 or 4 times during a week long trip.
