There are no specific excursions at Castaway Cay. They have snorkel/flipper rentals, but the whole island is available to passengers. I believe certain beaches are designated for certain age groups [couples/teens/etc.], but I don't think you book any of them.

There are a few activities on the island on/near the beach that you can book in advance, such as the stingray encounter, or a massage on the adult beach.

Other than that, it is pretty much a wide-open free-for-all on the sand.

There are also a few other activities that originate from Castaway Cay.

Once you've made a cruise reservation, you can view info on the various excursions and make reservations using the DCL web site.

If you're up for it, I recommend renting bikes when you are there!

We had a blast riding around the island with other guests and made some good friends that we then hung around with on the ship. You get to see lots more than just the main beach, too!

HAVE FUN!!!

There are shore excursions at Castaway Cay. Someone mentioned the Stingray Encounter, which is new. But there is also a glass-bottom boat excursion as well as a fishing excusion. My wife and mother-in-law did the fishing last year and absolutely LOVED it. It was about $120 per person and it was just the two of them on the boat with the boat driver and a guy who baited the hooks for them and took the fish off after they caught them. All they did was sit and fish.

On the way back into Castaway Cay, the driver turned the boat around and started to head back out to open water. My wife couldn't figure out what they were doing. The driver cut the engine and a pod of dolphins swam right up to the boat. She said it was absolutely an amazing experience.

There's para-sailing, and you used to be able to rent a jet-ski, but I don't know if that's still available.

Can't wait!!! We sail April 22!!!! :sohappy:

We signed up for the bananna boats. What a blast! Also, make sure to swim along the snorkel course. Castaway Key is, by far, the most fun you will ever have at the beach. The food is yummy and be sure to get a tropical drink!

We're looking into the "Getaway Package" which includes all day snorkel and float rental, and a 1 hour bike rental for $32/person.

What kind of floats do they have?
