Beach Club Villas?

I have been trying to find the answer to my questions in other threads but with no success. My girlfriend and I are planning a trip back to WDW in May or June of 2003 and would like to stay at the Beach Club Villas. Now we are not members of DVC and I believe it is possible to stay there right? But what I am wondering is that with not being a DVC member am I just lucky to get a room or can I still make specials requests like Non-smoking and type of view? We were hoping to stay in a 1 bedroom villa with a view of epcot.

Yes, anyone, DVC member or not, can reserve a room at any of the DVC properties. That is, rooms that are not currently reserved by/in use by members. It may be a little more difficult getting a room at the Beach Club Villas, as it is the newest DVC property open, but it is possible.

As for making specific requests, of course you should be able to. You are a paying guest, you should be able to request exactly what you want. Preference may be given to DVC members requests (I'm not sure), but if you give your special requests to guest services when you make your reservation, you should have a pretty good chance at getting it.

In either event, call to make the reservation as far in advance as possible! Have a great vacation.
