Beach Club Villas anyone?

Just wonder if anyone here has stayed at the Beach Club Villas as a DVC or non-DVC member and what your overall impressions were compared to other resorts? Would like to hear both positives and negatives. Thinking about renting points to stay there. It seems nice but is the service there? How far a walk to restaurants, snacks, etc?

Many thanks

Even though I've never stayed there, I'll take a crack at this.

Ameneties are just like the non-villas beach club, except you don't get housekeeping every day.

DVD players in the rooms, not VCRs. Room layout is just like BWV and WLV.

The walk from the farthest point won't be significantly different than the walk from the farthest point of the Yacht club (a few minutes at a leisurely pace).

Since it's physically attached to the beach club, you have all the BC restaurants and pool pretty close by.

The walk to EPCOT is very short. The walk to the Studios is probably 20 minutes (you have to talk the long way past Boardwalk). I suggest walking rather than using the busses or boats.

as DVC members BCV is our VERY FAV resort in all of WDW. We love it. The theming is great, the pool the best. You are close to 2 parks, walk to Epcot is very short (shorter then most BC and all YC rooms.) Unlike BC each room has a full balcony, many with a great view of the pool, some on the upper floor you can see Epcot and fireworks.) We found that we could even see MK fireworks from the view from our 5th floor 1bedroom.

We stayed at both a studio (on the weekend) and one bedroom during the week (saved points this way.) Both were wonderful. The theming is great. I love haivng mornig glories withe little hidden mickeys in there on my bedspread and in the hall carpet. It feels like a great beach home, and that is really what I like when going to FLA.

We love Beaches and Cream. Also many fast food options at Boardwalk, or just a short walk way at Epcot. The sit down places are good too. I haven't tried any restants at S&D yet, but I have heard good things about them.

We had no problems what so ever with anything.

The pool (SAB) is like a dream come true for young kids. Our 2 year old LOVED it (and so did we.)

Warning, after renting points you will be very tempted to buy.

With out a doubt this is in our opinon were we like staying the best.
