Beach Club or Polynesian

I am in the middle of planning a Disney Cruise Land/Sea package for April, there will be a total of 16 of us (10 adults and 6 kids ages 2-8) WHat would be the better place to stay, the Beach Club or Poly. Help us choose!!!

May 95 - All Star Sports
June 96 - All Star Music
June 98 - All Star Sports
June 99 - Caribbean Beach
Oct 2000 - Port Orleans
Oct 2001 - Animal Kingdom Lodge
March 2002 - Port Orleans Riverside(DL 4 Ever)
June 2002 - All Star Movies.

Although I, personally, am more fond of the Poly. judging by the large SIZE of your group, the Beach Club might be better for you in my opinion.

The larger pool area and close access to Disneys Boardwalk would give your group enough area to spread out and "Be on your own" and yet close enough proximity to "Meet at a certain spot " at a disignated time for meals and such.

In other words, although ypour group is large...if you stay at the Beach Club Resort, you can keep a close eye on each other without having to meet in small confined areas.

Since you will only have three or four days in the parks, I think it would be best to stay at Poly because you can get to the parks faster and you probably won't have too much time to use the pool at the Beach Club anyway.

BC- this is somewhat a large resort....though nice...i consider it more to be a teen/adult resort....given the pool is great and location is awsome.....with young kids ur prop. looking at more days at the MK....location is on the boardwalk...which would be nice for 20 adults...but I must say I was not pleased with the children club......

POLY- location is good for MK...on the monorail so easy access to epcot and MK.....and awsome kids club...with 10 adults i figure u want ur own time to head to downtown Disney. pool has volcano slide and form the pool u over the look the white sand beach and at night u can see the water pagent.....resort is fairly smaller..and ur just a walk away form the TTC.....AND AN AWSOME CHARACTER BREAKFAST!!

I'd say go with the Poly......its kid freindly....but still has the charm and looks of a deluxe resort well-suited for adults of all ages....

I think you might be better off with the Polynesian (not Poly...it is considered an offensive term to the people who speak the language). The transportation is great, and getting to the parks is so easy.

i would like to point out that beach club is also good for transportation. You are a very short walking distance to epcot, a boat ride to mgm and a short bus ride to magic kingdom. :)

To me, the ages of the kids says it all: you need to stay at the Polynesian! You'll be much closer to the Magic Kingdom, and you'll be able to quickly get back to your hotel for naps. Plus is your party splits up, it is much easier to find each other when you can take the monorail back and forth. It would allow you to do much more in your time at the parks. The hotel is so nice, with more dining options nearby (you can take the monorail to the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian so easily that it really increases the places you can eat), and there is the Never land Club, a great place for kids to hang out. I don't think there is any comparison-- the Beach Club is beautiful, but with small children, I think being on the monorail makes so much more sense. have a great time!

Poly Poly Poly Poly Poly Poly and Ha.... Poly.

I bet Yacht anb Beach would be offensive to Thursten Howel the III. It is Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort... Not Yacht and Beach.

I call it Poly sometimes so what. It is not in Polyynesia nor do any Polynesians stay there.

I would say Beach Club. You are much closer to 3 of the 4 parks. You are also closer to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Downtown Dsney and much more. So, you don't get the monorail....big deal. You're going to ride th monorail many times while you are there- you'll get your fill.
