We are booking a trip for late October!! We chose this time so we could do the Food and Wine Festival. Hopefully, it won't be too terribly crowded, we arrive the 23rd and leave on the 29th. This is our first time staying in the Beach Club. What are y'all's thoughts on this resort and are the refurbishments complete? Getting so excited to go back to the World!!!

Might be hard to get BC during Food and Wine. It is the very best location for walking over to Epcot and very best pool in all of WDW. We would stay there in a tent just for the pool, but we tend to take lots of pool time and don't really care for Food and Wine Festival any more.

The 3 Epcot hotels book up fast if you don't do it in advance. We stayed at the YC for the f&w festival in 2014. I didn't do my research and booked us opening weekend of the festival and Epcot was packed. I suggest waiting a few weeks after it opens than going. Still crowded but not as crowded.

Every weekend was dreadful this year! I recommend going for a Tuesday at lunch!

The Yacht Club was actually our first choice but it was booked for F&W. Our travel agent says there are still rooms available in the Beach Club so we should get that booked today!

We much prefer Yacht as well, but the new rooms at Beach are far superior to the old rooms at Yacht. At this point in time, I would stay at Beach Club, because of the refurbed rooms, and I am a Yacht Club snob.

Enjoy your trip.

No
The refurbishment to the main areas (not the villas) are complete.

Pros:
Proximity to Epcot and DHS, as well as Boardwalk
Pool is the best at WDW
Rooms are newly refurbished

Cons:
QS food options are limited to say the least
Shares a bus route with Yacht Club, so buses can get crowded

It's hands down my favourite resort. Love the proximity to the parks and the entertainment options of the Boardwalk at night. As others have said, the pool is hands down the best on property.

If you like swimming, you're going to want to budget a lot of time for Stormalong Bay.
Like, half a day isn't that unreasonable.

All three resorts surrounding the Boardwalk are awesome; in a large part due to the location. I would suggest people NOT overlook the Swan/Dolphin! They do book up very quickly as well. They're literally right around the corner from the Boardwalk. In fact, this is the view:

And the entrance:

As I said above, the Beach Club is the best Disney-owned resort on property, in my opinion. That said, I could not agree with you more that the Swan/Dolphin should not be overlooked. The place is phenomenal, it gives you most of the perks of a Disney-owned hotel, and it is generally a fraction of the price. On my trips, I alternated between the Beach Club and the Dolphin and never have a regret with either. The current tiebreaker between the two would be renovations. The Beach Club was just completed and the Dolphin is just getting underway. So for that reason alone, I would tip the scales in favor of the Beach Club at this time. Once they are both fully renovated, however, it goes back to being a toss-up between the two in my mind.

It is hands down my favourite resort on property. I find it very relaxing, and the theming is on point. The pool is unbelievable (especially the sand bottom pool!), and the proximity to Epcot is a great plus!

beach club is the best for the F&W, the new rooms i heard are nice, the proximity to the international gateway cant be beat. I have not stayed for a while as the price has been too much for me and i stay at the Swan/Dolphin now. New Swan rooms are nicely done and its half the price of the Y&B. Don't rule them out. The bus can get a little packed in the morning to MK, especially coming back at night.

I stayed at Beach Club for my past 4 visits - for around 9 days at a time.
Beach Club is simply fantastic for Stormalong Bay, and location, location, location.
It's unfortunate that the spring discount - which I've relied on for all of those trips - is not going to be sufficient for us to go to Beach Club this year.
We just booked Animal Kingdom.

Beach club is great for Epcot ,I stayed for 10 nights last Oct.I have previously stayed at AKL.Port Orleans& WL. BC was my least favorite ,i was not keen on the Epcot area i found the Boardwalk area was like a ghost town when i had thought it would be alive!!..Stormalong Bay was not my favourite pool,it was detached from the main hotel and was on the side walk.i hated that..Everyone is different & as you can see from other posts for some it is their favourite..I adored WL ..the quick service at BC is also ,well just not there!!..,also Cape Mays was my least fav meal in the whole of Disney...

Beach Club is amazing. The buses can be an issue, but the only time it's really awful is to Disney Springs. If you go early, the MK and AK buses will be busy, but not awful. We always planned a breakfast in those parks before opening and avoid some of the crowding on the buses. With Magic Kingdom, we would always take the monorail back to TTC and then to Epcot to skip a ride on the buses. Plus my family loves to just walk around World Showcase and check out the stores and snacks.
