Be Our Guest without a Reservation? Possible?

Looks like Be Our Guest has zero availability for lunch and dinner during our upcoming April WDW trip. Is it possible to walk in for lunch without a reservation? What about dinner?

If we can't get in to BOG- we're not on the dining plan and are trying to keep meal costs low. What other dinner spots should we target?

I don't know the exact chances, but you have a better chance for lunch than dinner (dinner is almost zero chance without a reservation).

Don't stop trying to get a reservation!!!
I check several times a day because people are always changing their plans and reservations open up when they are cancelled.
I've secured reservations at BOG for dinner the week before each of our last two trips.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)

For table service for dinner The Plaza restaurant is probably the cheapest option.
For quick service for lunch or dinner we love BOG (only QS at lunch and breakfast), Columbia Harbor House, Cosmic Ray's, Pecos Bills, Casey's etc.
Lots of great choices in MK. Just check out the menus on here or in MDE and see what appeals to you and to see prices as well. :)

agree with Uncle Mike above....now that there is a 24 hour cancellation window penalty, there is almost always a reservation that opens up in the few days before you actually want to go. keep checking, even the day before and I bet you make out ok.

It's not technically 24 hours (verbiage says it "has to be canceled within 1day prior to the reservation") it's just by the end of the day prior to the reservation. I canceled many by 11:59pm or a little later the night prior with no penalty even recently. Even for breakfasts that were 7-8 hours later from the time I canceled it that night before. If it allows you to cancel online you are not being charged. If it tells you you can't cancel and need to call (this pops up if your too late as has happened to me also before) then you are passed the window to not charge you the fee. :)

BOG is OK for lunch, but if you can't get it, try the waffle sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow...they are wonderful!

when in April will you be there? I've been debating between BOG breakfast and lunch and plan to cancel my lunch reservation on 4/7

Keep trying to get a reservation at BOG. It didn't work for us, but as others have said, it sometimes happens. As someone said, The Plaza restaurant is probably the most economical (if there is such a thing) table service and there are usually openings there. As stated there are multiple Quick Service Options. Our favorite has always been Cosmic Ray's. The only drawback to they have multiple "Bays" for different types of food. If everyone doesn't want the same type of food, you need to split up or it will take a while to get everyone's food.

We'll be there 4/18-4/23. Thanks for these great tips! I'll keep trying if I don't have luck, will check out the other options :)

I did a walk-up, no reservation dinner, for a party of 5 with a 20 minute wait once ........ once.

It never hurts to try, but chances are slim.

I asked the CM at the podium and he said "I do have an opening in about 20 minutes. Your entire party has to wait on the bridge, and when I call you, your entire party has to be ready. If anybody is missing, or you do not answer, then you will be skipped."

It was towards the end of June, if I recall, in 2014.

If you're prepared to check online every morning, you may get lucky for a last minute dinner reservation. I've managed it twice on previous visits.
