Be Our Guest Walk Through

Hey Guys - we'll be heading out for our World trip the first week of December - and although we've certainly tried...no surprise but we didn't get Be Our Guest reservations. We are not staying at a Disney resort so am I also correct in assuming we cannot go for Lunch either? We made our FP+ selections the other night and Be Our Guest wasn't even an option so I assume that is a perk for Disney Resort guests only.

So my question is this: is there any chance we are still able to walk through the restaurant to check out the amazing theming? We're definitely going to try to check and see if reservations are available leading up to our trip and especially a day or two before we'll be in the park but we've pretty much come to realization it's probably not going to happen. The day we're going to be there will actually be my wife's birthday (mine being the day before) and we at least wanted to check out the inside. Can you walk through it? Or are we stuck looking at the outside (which I'm sure is also awesome)?

Also - this being the case - any other good ideas for a birthday lunch at MK that isn't Be Our Guest?

I dont believe they are allowing walk-throughs. It never hurts to ask though - you never know.

You are right, the FP+ is for WDW Resort hotel guests only.

For a birthday lunch, I would hop on the monorail to Grand Floridian and do the Grand Floridian Cafe.

In the past we were able to walk into the front part of the restaurant before it opened, like around 10 am. We couldn't go beyond the front part but we could see into the ballroom and peek at the suits of armor I don't know if they still have it open early like this but it is work a walk by.

You could always check and see if there's a standby line on the day of your visit -- the BOG "rules" have been a moving target.

I don't believe they allow "walk-throughs" but it doesn't hurt to ask. (It would be a little complicated, in that you'd have to bypass the line of people waiting to get into the entrance. The CM would have to be satisfied somehow that you weren't trying to "cut" the line to dine there. Once inside, your wandering through wouldn't be any more disruptive than the wanderings of the dozens of patrons inside with their trays, looking for a table.)
