We just nabbed a BOG ADR at 5:00 in December!! I'm so excited, only 39 days left and we got in! So now that we made it in, what are the best entrees and desserts there that we absolutely must try? I haven't read too many reviews that aren't about the Grey Stuff

We had the assorted cured meats and sausages app and I had the steak entrée and lemon cupcake. All delicious. Atmosphere is what's really on the menu.

Agree with @Betsyboo - that charcuterie plate with the assorted meats it YUM! DH's French onion soup was also super tasty.

Definitely try the potato leek soup! I didn't think I'd like it but WOW!

That's awesome y'all were able to get a ressie! We will be there in December too but not dining at BOG except for lunch this time. Which I may mention is a really good option as well we really enjoyed it last Dec. Hope you all have a wonderful time!!

That's our plan too for our upcoming trip, although I might give dinner a go on our next trip (if we can get in!!).

Yes same here we may try dinner the next time we go. We are now DVC members as of this year so we have many more trips in the future! That's the part I like maybe I won't get as sad when I leave now knowing I will definitely be back. Lol Although we still will only go every other year (and after this trip not until 2016 sadly) but hey we are blessed to know I can plan another. Love the planning as that's half the fun for me!

They bring the dessert cart to your table for you to select.

The pork chop was really good! If was cooked perfectly and juicy! The chocolate cupcake was pretty heavenly too!

French Onion Soup appetizer. Best food on the menu (other than dessert!), IMO. I didn't get the soup (my wife did), so I was quite sad.

I've had the steak, salmon, shrimp and scallop pastry, and pork chops. All good, but I'd pick the salmon then the steak as my favorites! Both the potato leek soup and French onion soups are good, but like the potato better. Enjoy

Long time reader, but first new poster. Just got an ADR for BOG on 1/19 at 8:50PM. A little later than ideal, but given the comments from everyone on how hard it is to get reservations, I'll take it. The only downside is that even though I've probably seen the MK fireworks 50 times, I know it will bug me to miss them by 10 minutes! Oh we'll, much more excited to try something new in the World. We also got one for 'Ohana at 8:20PM on 1/18, so also excited about that given everything I've read about it on here. Like others have said, just keep checking everyday and hopefully you'll get lucky.

I just made them for the week before Mother's Day, and had no problem getting a BOG dinner ADR. My toughest ones to get w/almost no times left were Akershus & 'Ohana. BOG was a breeze, lots to choose from. Good luck!

As for my favorite things. I loved the Strawberry cupcake! I liked the Ratatouille but I'm anxious to try something new next time too. I liked the little mini salad selection, w/the 3 little salad samples. My family enjoyed everything, esp the atmosphere and photos w/Beast.

We got in line for lunch at 10am two mornings were seated right on time. The line was around the corner by opening. CM's were great and the inside is gorgeous. Funny enough it was so early we weren't hungry for lunch just got snacks but it was the best cup of coffee I had the whole week. It's really huge inside, we were in the "rose" room 2x.
