bay lake tower,theme park view rooms

we have a reservation at bay lake for February and have paid the extra for a theme park view, does anybody have any recent reviews,do's and dont's or any kind of info? any feed back would be great thanks

All I can say is you will love it. My only gripe and it is minor is walking to the monorail. Also if u r a dvc member make sure to use top of the world lounge great place.

Make sure you close the curtains. People can see everything from the skybridge and parking lot.

Best part: You can watch the fireworks from your room. The soundtrack is played over a TV channel. They also do this at the lounge. And the walk to MK is not bad.

Seriously, the walk to the MK isn't that much longer than the walk to the 4th floor of the CR to catch the monorail and the walk is a lot less crowded. If you don't want to watch Wishes from your room, or it's a bad angle, there is an observation deck of sorts on the 4th floor of the CR. There is a door just past the Sundry Shop.

The Bay Lake Tower Magic Kingdom view is nice (especially during fireworks).
But I considered it more of a "Monorail view" room (which is even better for me).

That view was from my balcony on the 9th floor side closest to the original Contemporary building.
Other theme park view rooms might be more facing the Magic Kingdom itself. Although any theme park view room will have both the MK & Contemporary in their sightlines, with a great view of both monorail lines.

that view is beautiful, we especially like the distant view if the grand Floridian and wedding pavilion of which we have special memories of, thanks
