barrelbridges

We have been going to Disney for years and when we were there at Thanksgiving 2001, we noticed that the barrel bridges on Tom Sawyer Island were taking out. They moved a shed in it's place. You can see where it was while riding the Libery Square Riverboat. That was the funniest part of the trip was to watch me cross them while my husband bounced on them. Now he does it on the other bridge that takes you to Fort Langhorn. Where they took out the guns up in the fort. What's up with that, too? If anyone can help, please do so. :veryconfu

I noticed that too when I went last year but they have since put the barrel bridges back, YAY. I am not sure about the Guns in Fort Longhorn though. I think they are still gone.

Last year a little child got their finger stuck in the barrel and fell off the fort. Needless to say... it was not a Disney experience. The Safety Boards meet and new regulations were brought up, thus the guns were removed. This was at DL, so I guess the same applied to WDW also.

aawwwee.... don´t tell me that! I had been there before and never noticed that rock until my bf took me there and made me jump on it! It was hilarious! My best time in the island! :animwink:

Friends in CA have said they've posted cast memberson TSI to prevent people from climbing, and they've closed the caves. Why bother even having the island open.

I've been saying the same, I think it's time for a retheming (rethinking) for TSI. It just begs for a Neverland, only the location is all wrong.
