Just my guess but probably because Steve didn't like the way other sites looked when he visited them. It makes for a cleaner look, faster load time, less stress on the server, one less thing to be moderated, etc.

Ah ok i understand, sry bout placeing the topic in "Chit Chat" but i that was a question of mine i was always wondering. lol i think if we were able to have banners it would make the site more "colorful" but oh well thanks for the info!
The forum is for exchanging info, quickly and efficiently. Having banners at the bottom of everyones posts just makes that process slower for people to browse. There are photoalbums available here for people to add their photos if they wish. http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com
