Band Trip

In December my marching band is taking a trip to WDW. We are doing the parade and a concert at MK. How much backstage area will we be able to see? Can we take pictures from the backstage area?

I've done that trip. You'll be able to see quite a bit of backstage, including the backside of splash mt. They will NOT allow you to take pictures. You'll dress in a big trailer into your band uniforms as well as go through a secret door in adventureland. Be prepared to take a long walk from the trailer to the gate in Main Street where the parade starts. My advice is to take pictures (secretively) from the bus before your tour guide gets to you, although if i remember right, one wil join your bus the minute you hit backstage.

I've done a parade at MK and two at DL. The one at MK was for HS band, and the DL performances were when i was in the Wisconsin Band when we went to the Rose Bowl.

What a wonderful band trip. Wish we had those kind of trips when I was in school. Of course, back then, there was only the Magic Kingdom. I would have been happy with even that. Have a magical time!!

That was my first trip to the Magic Kingdom - -with my junior high band!! Fell in love with it and have been approximately 26 times since then. Of course my band trip was in 1978 (no, I did not reverse any numbers). To me it is still as magical now as it was then. Hope you have a wonderful time and just enjoy the magic!!

i am just the person to answer your question, iuse to be a tour giude for bands that played at disney ( i worked for musical destinations) . no you can't take pictures. youwil enter backstage next to splash mountian, you will see the back side of space mountian, some parade floats,a and a trailer where you get dressed. also the backs of some buildings.

Just because you "can't" take pictures doesn't mean that you can't be sneaky I have a whole bundh of them...I just didn't let it show i was taking any.
